Hi, I'm considering getting an Apple watch. What are the advantages and disadvantages of getting an apple watch? Why would you get it or not? What would you tell someone thinking about getting it? I'm looking forward to all comments on this. Thanks.
• Coverage everywhere. You don’t need to bring your phone for calls. texts or notifications
• Emergency SOS can call help everywhere
• Peace of mind on when your phone battery dies, you’ll still have ways of calling -
• Montly fee for your carrier
I just got a non-cellular Apple Watch SE a few months ago. I always have my phone on/near me so staying connected isn't an issue, and my carrier doesn't support cellular Apple Watches. I think only the big 3 US carriers (Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint/T-Mobile) support this in addition to US Cellular, Visible, and maybe some other discount carriers I haven't heard of. Note that your Apple Watch can still stay connected to your iPhone and the Internet when you're out of range of your iPhone but on the same Wi-Fi network. If you decide to get a cellular Apple Watch, be careful about the battery life and weight; I've heard some say the battery runs down fast and the cellular watches are a little heavy.
