Hello everyone. Hope all is well.
Just wanted to make a short post explaining that for those who use Backpack Studio, version 2.0 has been released. I was a part of the beta testing and I have to say that it was a really fun time testing everything and giving feedback to the developer. I don't want to give away what's new, but feel free to look up the app in the App Store and you can take a look.
Here's the link for easy access:

Thank you so much,

I already have the update
Hi,
I already have the update. I, too, was also apart of the beta, and it was a lot of fun testing and sharing feedback with the developer.
Nice
Hey. Nice. Glad you were able to test as well. What do you think of the updates?
Re: Nice
I love it!! I was able to test it on Mac, but it's giving me some crashing issues, so I've contacted the developer and he's going to work on it. The live streaming feature is awesome! I would love to do a test run with you at some point.
Nice
Oh ok nice. Sure. Would love to do it. I saw your message. My email is:

You can run backpack on mac?…
You can run backpack on mac? Nice? Tell me more. I'm not sure I'd ever want to do that but still, tell me more?
Yeah I'm curious
Hi. Yeah that sounds cool. Would love to know how you got that to work.
how I got it to work
basically, the developer updated the app to make it Mac compatible, so all I did was go to the Mac appstore and downloaded backpack studio as normal, and once opened, I was able to play all of the pads, toggle on and/or off the mic, Etc. and since keyboard shortcuts are included, I could press space to enable or disable the mic. Command R also works for start/stop recording. unlike iOS, you cannot double tap and hold a pad to bring up it's option, so the developer will make it a button only, in other words, pressing VO space plays the pads, and pressing VO command space brings up actions such as Edit, increase or decrease volume, etc. overall, not bad.
Live streaming.
Hello! I’m hopeful someone can answer this as the developer has gone silent since the release. I beta tested it. Awesome. I subscribed to a plan. But my question is: the hours we pay for they are only for use with backpack live right? I’m hoping we aren’t being penalized for streaming to our own ice cast server. I want my ten hours for the backpack live feature interviewing guests. If the time I’m streaming to my personal server is coming out of those ten that feels dishonest to me. I’m not using backpack servers at all when it is my ice cast.
Thanks for any info.
I did report the following…
I did report the following to the developer
1. trying ti find folders wher the files are on dropbox causes the app to crash
2. you cannot load files from the finder, you must use cloud options.
as for the yours try streaming to yoru own server for an hour and seeing if an hour is taken away from your cache.
Question about Backpack live hours?
Hello,
I recently started a podcast.
A couple of my friends would like to appear, separately, as guests on my show.
I plan to interview them using backpack live. I was planning on getting 10 hours, since that’s the cheapest option, and 10 hours is a long time.
My question is, “if I get 10 hours, but don’t use them all, will they roll over to the next month? “
No one, including the developer, has answered this question yet, so I figured I would post it here, hoping someone knows the answer.
I think I may have found a partial answer to my own question
Hi,
I think I may have found a partial answer to my own question.
The answer is this:
” $9.99 10 hours per month 3 Day Free Trial”
According to the above text, which was taken directly from the app, your hours reset every month. This means that unused hours, are not carried over to next month, but at least you get them back, in someway.
