Description of App
Start the CTMayor APP and take control. You are the Mayor and City Planner with complete authority. Be the undisputed ruler of a sophisticated real-time City Simulation. Create your own dream city from the ground up. The city may be a bustling megalopolis, lots of people, lots of cars, tall buildings: high-energy, high density living. Or it may be a small rural community, or a linked group of small communities providing slow-paced country living.
Also there are some scenarios prepared for you. Become the master of existing cities such as San Francisco, Hamburg and Bern, to solve horrible planning issues or rescue citizens from a natural disaster. If one strategy doesn't work, try another. There are a million stories in each city, and you write them.
Like a real mayor, focus on planning, layouting, budgeting and disaster rescuing, you do not need to do microtransactions like maintaining houses or factories, AI citizens manage zones themselves.
The simuation strategy logic and user interactive concept are inspired by the classic SimCity game from Will Wright. Most graphics, music, map and text materials come from public domain licensed by Creative Commons License or General Public License.

Fun game
This is a fun game. Does anyone know how to increase population?
Increasing population
Population will increase at the end of each year. Build enough residential zones, commercial and industrial zones for them to work on. Also, make sure to lay roads or railways from residential zones to workplaces. Finally, make sure that you have a power plant either standing right next to a zone to power it up or if it's not standing directly next to the zone, build power lines from the plant to the zone. If you have many zones touching one another, you can use one power plant to power them all. It takes a few turns for all zones to power up. Good luck.
loving it
I found it a little dull without music or sounds but that can be toggled in the settings. I am getting hang of it a lot. Is there water on each slot? I seem to have built something on one slot but I don't see what was there.
Maps are randomly generated.
Every time you start a new game, new maps will be generated automatically. Hopefully in the future, we will be able to edit our own maps.
I sometimes get maps with…
I sometimes get maps with only water
That's why I suggested
That's why I suggested that we are allowed to build our own maps, as clear land is often hard to find on computer generated maps. The developer said that it's sound like a good idea, so hopefully he will actually implement it.
I need some help, please.
Hello, guys. I need some help starting to build a place. Every time I touch something in the map, I get a message saying that this land needs to be bulldozed first. How do I go about to do that?
Thank you in advance for your help.
DrummerGuy
Note that you can't build anything on water, except for roads which will serve as bridges. That being said, you need to find clear land. Also, keep in mind that most buildings and zones needs a 3 x 3 square of clear space. You can for example, build zones over trees, at the cost of reducing The land value, however police stations can also help to increase it.
really?
I got another map with only water. Well I guess I will just have to create more until I actually get something useful.
I feel like I'm just moving randomly in the game.
Honestly, right now I just feel like I'm moving without knowing what to do.
For some reason it's not very clear to me whenever you make a move.
I guess I will figure it out eventually.
I hope so.
DrummerGuy
When you make a move on a clear piece of land, the word clear will be replaced by the word residential, police station, fire station, Road or whatever you decided to put there at that specific position. You can build as many things you like during one turn, provided you have enough cash for it. However, in order to simulate events and activities, you will need to turn up. A great example is power plants. Building a power plant right next to a zone Will not power the zone immediately. You need to turn up at least two times for the zone itself to become powered. The first turn will power up the plant itself, while the second turn will power up the zone. For as long as you have clear land, you can build how and what ever you like, however there are a few guidelines to keep in mind. Each zone obviously takes up 3 x 3 space in a square. Zones must touch each other if you wish to power multiple zones without power lines. If your zones are scattered, you will need to lay power lines between the power plant and the zone itself. You can also lay powerlines from a powered zone to an unpowered zone. I hope this will help somewhat. My biggest issue is not the gameplay, but rather the maps that are generated automatically with each new game. I often find that there is just not enough clear land for me to build on and many times, such a hindrance can really interfere with my vision of how I want my city to look like. Hopefully, we will be able to build our own maps soon.
I'm gonna cry
Hi. As a former simtower lover I'm gonna cry with the discovery of this game.
I'm on my first game, but it says I have 1 residential which means somewhere inside this map there is a land or something similar, but is there a way to move to the exact tile where that residential is? I find weird to move tile by tile through 1000 tiles-long map
Not sure
There is currently no way to locate specific things quickly, at least not that I know of.
Some questions
Hi, I find easier to play on iPad with a keyboard, it is easier to navegate through the map.
Also I have some questions that are not clear to me.
1.- How do you turn up zones withouth electricity? I always have the center tile of a zone without electricity no matter if I put a electricity zone beside the rescidential zone or whatever zone.
2.- Is it a way to hurry up the time of the game? Under settings I find that there is a way to adjust the animation but I don’t understand if it is just a visual setting or if it has something to do with the time of the game. I find borring that time passes eternal in this game so that things start to happen.
3.- When I use the bulldoser sometimes I find that if I use it in one rescidential tile it demolishes all the zone, but now on my ipad I use it on a industrial zone and it just demolishes one tile at the time, am I wrong or some times it demolishes the whole zone and some times tile by tile?
4.- are you still motivated by the game after some days of usage or do you think as me that the game needs more action?
Powering zones
When you put a power plant next to the zone, the zone will power up after two turns. The game no longer works in real time. It is now turn based so we can keep up with the speed. Sometimes, the bulldozer destroys only part of a zone, so make sure to bulldoze all tiles. I guess action will depend on difficulty level, city size and activity.
what do you mean by two turns?
hi, thanks for the answers. Could you please explain what do you mean by 2 turns? each movement counts as a turn? and how long it takes to move one year forward? I'm still stocked in January 1900.
Making a turn
You have to double tap on the planning done button in order to make a turn to the next month. Building things doesn't make turns. Everything is at a standstill until you decide to make turns. Making turns is equivalent to simulating activities. You can build as many things as you like in just one turn, but once you are satisfied with the things you've built, it is time to watch the action. Just double tap on the planning button and wait for your zones to power up and for population to grow. Population will increase after each year.
the population
You often said, after a year the population grows, but after how much planning do I have to click to really get it? Once planning is complete, it jumps to the next month, but how many times do I have to click? And by 2 turns he means clicking on planning completed twice below, so two days, so to speak, two months.
12 turns?
12 turns should do it, provided the following conditions are met. Make sure you have enough residential, commercial and industrial zones. Also, make sure that there is enough road or railways between residential and workplaces. Finally, when clicking the planning done button, make sure to close any pop-ups that may occur first before continuing. So in short, 12 turns should do it. Like I said, you can plan as much as you like before using the planning done button, as long as you have enough cash for it.
I could have figured that out
I could have imagined that, one year equals twelve months equals twelve clicks on planning complete. Thank you very much! I think the game is really super cool, it really reminds me of SimCity! The only thing that needs to be done are the VoiceOver suggestions that I emailed you. As I said, it's your choice if you accept it. Still nice
