I realize we don't download the first beta until mid July. But here's where i'm confused. I like the haptick engine on, so I leave it when I send a text. As it stands now, I feel it vibrate when I touch a letter then I feel another one when I press the space bar. so, how is this gonna be different? any thoughts? Hope i explained that well.

Is there supposed to be a change in this behaviour? There was a huge amount to get through so most likely I've mist a bunch of points but I didn't hear anything about a change to the haptec typing experience, which is what you're describing.
Haptic
Yes. When you type you get the haptic for each letter you tap on it. Just like the click for keyboard.
Isn't this already an option…
Isn't this already an option in accessibility? Or am I being dumb... which is a distinct possability.
New to Sighted Users
As far as I know, this is a new option for sighted users.
The haptic engine vibrated once a letter is entered. Say you want to type my name, Wil. Find W and release. You will feel the vibration after W has been inserted. Same for I and L.
I hope this helps.
Sane for us
There is no haptic for typing for us now. Interesting that will help with password. Now you will know that you are typing via feedback.
I think it will be a good thing.
There are times when BSI just doesn't work and I'd like that feedback. They added it to the phone app in IOS 13, so I think this is a bit overdue.

There is, go into settings > voiceover > audio > haptics. It's subtle, but when using touch typing there is a tiny vibration when the key is released and written.
Sounds like this is just coming to general users as it doesn't currently work without voiceover on.
I hope the new one is stronger.
The Voiceover one is too subtle, nothing like the keypad on the phone app.
