Would you please let us know what problem you are encountering that requires you to turn VoiceOver off - what's the problem and how does turning VoiceOver off help?

I'm not personally experiencing any problems with the login screen, but it's possible that you are doing something different.

Each time i log on, Voice over just says: User name, and can not type my password at all, the only solution is to tern off voiceover and type my password, then everything is ok, is this a security option or what?

I would suggest restarting your mac. When you are at the logon screen turn on voiceover and press control+option+right arrow until you hear "shut down" and then press control+option+spacebar. If that doesn't work press and hold the power button for a few seconds until the Mac shuts down, then press the power button to turn it back on again. Hope this helps.

I am experiencing this problem as well. I have not experienced it until I updated to the latest version of Mac OS. If you alone use the computer, just close the laptop without logging off. When you open it again, press a key, preferably the "control" key, wait a few seconds, then enter your password, check your battery status, whatever you need to do on the lock screen.
When I restart my computer, I have to log-in without VoiceOver. I believe it is a bug with the latest Mac OS version.
Hope this helps.
PS: My laptop is also a 2015 MacBook.

I have a 2018 MacBook Air and am not experiencing any login issues. With FileVault enabled, VoiceOver prompts for my username when booting, and if it is correct, it will then prompt for the password. After you enter your username, does VoiceOver not prompt for the password as expected?

Hey folks hope you're fantastic. In order to solve this problem I have a very simple solution: just move your cursor by pressing VO arrow right and move backward by pressing the left arrow key to come to the edit box again. It seems like that the voiceover sometimes doesn't focus at the edit box so you might have to move around in order to get its focus back.

More details please? What exactly happens to force you to switch off VO? It is perfectly fine here.

If Voice over is on, writing my password is not working, i just got "user name, user name" from Voice over, this is what i got exactly.
but, when i tern off VOice over, i can type my password without moving, then everything is working ok.
is it a security issue? is it from the file volt? or what?
