Hey all, in the latest beta of iOS (public beta 2) books has become entirely unusable with VoiceOver. Not sure if this was broken in the first beta, although given the apps radical new design I suspect it was. Anyone else seeing this regression? I've submitted a bug report to apple, and suggest anyone else seeing these issues do so as well so we might get this disaster flagged as soon as possible.

Your Feedback is Important to Improving Accessibility on Apple platforms
Don't assume that Apple is aware of a bug or that your report won't make a difference - submitting bug reports directly to the company helps them reproduce and resolve the issue faster. Your report may provide crucial information. The more reports they receive, the higher the priority they give to fixing the bug.
If you're using a beta version, use the Feedback Assistant on your device to submit feedback and bug reports. If you're using a public release, follow the instructions on this page.

Could you be more specific?
I opened the app, and opened a book I had read before, and started reading it. Nothing much different so far, except now it reads all the words at the end of chapter three, and I'd been on them about that for a good while.
hmmm
when I open a book in the app now, there is no longer a picker element to move between pages, there is a new menu button at the bottom of the window which now contains the bookmarks button as well as formatting options. Instead of the "back" button to return from the current book to the list of all books there is now a close button. Also when doing a two-finger swipe down to read continuously after a few pages VoiceOver stops reading the book and sometimes hangs.
I am on iOS 16.0 build (20A5328H)

Same issue here. Have reported the bug. Fingers crossed it is a bug and not a permanent change
new interface
looks like they've redesigned the user-interface for iOS 16, hopefully the navigation bugs can be resolved before the final release.
