Hi there everybody!
Finally after a half year's negotiation I got a new iPhone 11 for work, however, whenever I restart the device Voiceover breaks without any apparent reason. I try then to restart Voiceover with the triplle-sidebutton-click and via Siri, but no luck. There are also no bluetooth-devices paired with the iphone and the volume is all the way up. For three times now I had to resort to my sighted wife resetting the device, however this is getting annoying to do whenever I miss that the battery goes dry and the device shuts down. I'm running iOS 15.5 on the iPhone and so far I've always loaded a backup from my other iPhone 11 Pro. This is my fifth iPhone
And currously this is the only device where this happens.
Does anyone of you know of this issue and has a suggestion how to fix it?
Thank you very much!
Best regards,
Daniel

Siri voice?
This appears to happen whenever you use a Siri voice with voiceover.
Someone else was having the same problem, so I thought I'd switch to a Siri voice and test it out for myself.
Sure enough when I reboot the phone, Voiceover wouldn't speak at the screen where you had to enter your pin.
Once you have entered your pin, it would work fine.
Luckily I was able to restore from an iTunes backup.
That's the only thing I can think of, appologies if that's not the synthesizer you're using.
I use Fred, so have never encountered this problem.
This has happened to me…
This has happened to me twice this week, except in my case, it wasn't just Voiceover that was broken. The phone appeared to be completely locked up. I had to restore it through Itunes, twice, which was extremely annoying. I thought this was a beta bug as I am on Ios 16. I am using the South African Siri voice.
Big thanks, that could be it
Hi Cool Turk!
Thanks a lot for your quick response, that might be the answer. I do use the German Siri-voice for my work-phone, so that I can better distinguish between the two. I'll give it definitivly a try.
Thanks again and have a nice day!
Best regards,
Daniel
Report to Apple-Accessibility
I'll also report the issue to Apple-accessibility, since it seemsthat I'm not the only one concerned. Also thanks to you Tashafor telling that this also happend to you.

Don't use Siri-voice as default VO-voice!
Hi everybody!
It was just as Cool-Turk suggested. After my sighted colleague entered my code it took some seconds and VO came back to life with the Siri-voice speaking again. I highly recommend NOT TO USE THE SIRI-VOICE AS THE DEFAULT VO-VOICE since it breaks VO at every restart of the phone, which is especially troublesome for the completely blind, since a sighted person will be needed for entering the code.
Thanks again and best regards,
Daniel
