Since last Friday, August 26 I have been unable to respond to or delete messages using an iPhone 11 running 15.6.1. It started slightly before I updated the app I thought I would solve the problem that way. At first the screen Louis very confused and I thought it was the iPhone but I’m not convinced it’s the iPhone 11 anymore because all the other apps work just fine. Has anyone had any trouble with the Messages app in the last four or five days. Everything seem to be working fine till Friday. Did they change the format. If so, I am unable to delete or respond to messages. I can read them. But I can’t seem to open one and there’s no tab bar on the bottom I am a voiceover user. I tried unlocking the control center and did not get any change in landscape or portrait and when it finally did unlock I could not read the messages in landscape or the messages in portrait stayed the same. So I don’t know if this screen or format for the new iOS got switched to landscape. If you have had any problem with this could you please let me know if there is a way to solve it? I do have an iPhone 7 and I I set up forwarding between iPhones for messages and I can still use the iPhone 7. The iPhone 7 is running 15.5. I have not updated that phone because I wanted to see if with the iPhone 11. Any insight would be appreciated. I have a call scheduled with Apple but if you fix the problem first :-) please let me know how to do that.

Clarification an update on the Messages app trouble
The main point is on Friday I could not use the Messages app using my iPhone 11. Voiceover would not respond or open any screens. So I went through a bunch of hoops to see if something had changed that’s probably what’s confusing you. The latest on the subject is everything is the way it should be on the screen but sometimes I still have trouble with voiceover or such thing not opening messages correctly. I can’t always delete messages. It takes me several tries to add a name so I can send a message. I don’t know how else to put it the main issue is this app is not always reliable. In the last few days I have noticed that it has become more reliable but it’s not responding as quickly as it was. So my main question still remains. Does anyone have intermittent trouble responding to or sending messages? If you do you have trouble what steps have you taken to solve the issue? I’ve been on the phone with accessibility and with an Apple advisor and of course when you get on the phone everything works. Sometimes. I noticed that I have to swipe through all the letters on the keyboard in order to get to a send button so I can’t just swipe right and send a message. I have to take the scenic route to get anything done. I don’t see this problem on my iPhone 7. So just to reiterate the main question does anyone have trouble responding to or sending messages? Does it matter whether it’s an iMessage or an SMS? I’ve just never noticed these issues until last Friday and they continue although they are getting less frequent. If anyone has any tricks please share them. :-) just a bit of history I’ve owned iPhones since the iPhone 5 so I spend a lot of time on my phone sending and responding to text message or other things. So I’m not iPhone illiterate at all I’m just noticing something that is brand new in my experience.
Screen recognition appears to have been the problem with the iMe
Yes thank you, :-) I am talking about the iMessages app and it’s good to know it updates with iOS I thought maybe the latest point had updated the message‘s app. I ended up on the phone again with Apple today because it kept happening so they said if the problem persisted to give them a call back and when I was on the phone with the accessibility advisor she said to turn off screen recognition which I had turned on so The iMessages app is working so far. :-) I looked on my iPhone 7 and I didn’t see screen recognition on so I didn’t have a problem with that phone. I was told by the advisor that I was added to the list of people who have had this problem but apparently I was the first person with the iMessages app that had the problem. It was nice to know it was a voiceover thing and we could fix it so far :-)
