I really want to test iOS 16 on my phone, but I donβt know if I should because it might come out in a couple of weeks.
I am also testing iPadOS 16, any advice?
What are the risks of installing a beta profile on a personal iPhone?

If you experience a bug in Apple Beta Software, the most important thing you can do is to file a report in Feedback Assistant. Please do not assume that Apple is already aware of a bug or that your report won't make a difference; your report may provide crucial information, and submitting bug reports directly to Apple helps them reproduce and resolve the issue faster. The more reports they receive, the higher the priority Apple is likely to give to fixing the bug.
If you are using beta software, please use the Feedback Assistant on your device to submit feedback and bug reports. If you are using a public release, this blog post explains how to report the issue and what information to include.
In 2025, AppleVis launched the Community Bug Reporting Program with the goal of improving the quality and quantity of information we share with the community about bugs in Apple software releases. If you would like to contribute to this effort, please submit your reports via our Community Bug Report Form.
All reports shared with AppleVis must first be filed with Apple via Feedback Assistant. More information about the Community Bug Program is available here.

iOS 16
If past years are any indication, Apple will likely seed the release candidate (RC) of iOS 16 on September 7, following its "Far out" iPhone event, and then release it to the public some time the following week.
At this point in the beta cycle, you should expect to experience comparatively fewer bugs than you would've if you started testing earlier in the summer. Indeed, in my experience, iOS 16 appears to be generally stable on my iPhone SE, however some features, such as custom lock screens and email scheduling still seem somewhat buggy. AppleVis will have more extensive coverage of these and other bugs and fixes at the time of the operating system's public release.
While the risk of data loss is generally low, it is advised to make a full and complete backup of your device before installing any update. As iCloud backups of iOS 16 cannot be restored if you downgrade back to iOS 15, you should create a local backup of your iPhone on iOS 15 before installing the profile. This can be done via Finder on a Mac with macOS Catalina or later, or iTunes on a PC or Mac with macOS Mojave or earlier.
HTH
Iβm going to wait until the software comes out
Like the subject says, Iβm going to wait until the software gets fully released to the public.
I really like that mail gets the schedule sent feature, Iβm hoping that in the future they have schedule sent for iMessage.
That would be really useful.
Be brave
I support what Oliver said, about not getting the latest and greatest but I live on the edge. I'd just do it if you think you are up to the challenge. No one can give you the decision, I usually just do what i want and stay off forums because of questions like, should i update? or the, I'm on IOS whatever because I don't know if such and such is fixed. I don't live like that. whatever you decide, good luck.
Iβm going to wait
Iβm going to wait until iOS 16 gets stable enough, I am testing iPad OS 16 and Iβm having many problems with eloquence.
I did reported using the Feedback Assistant app to Apple.
