Screen curtain turning off in IOS?

Hey guys.
So, I use screen curtain on my Iphone 12 running the latest version of ios.
I've been noticing for a while that screen curtain seems to turn itself off automatically for some reason, and I don't like that as it affects my privacy.
I also keep the VO speech off whenever I'm not using it mostly.
Got any advice?

For me it does crash like that sometimes, but always recovers. I have not had it stay off indefinitely. Is that what you are experienceing?

I don't have any advice other than to always check from time to time if you're really worried about it.

Given that there are several features, notably Handoff, that just flat out break with Screen Curtain on, I'd honestly consider just turning your brightness down to 0, which does work, and living with that. But, no, I hadn't noticed Screen Curtain being reset--VoiceOver seemed to preserve the setting when it restarted for whatever reason.
