chrome on a macbook with voiceover

Hi all, i recently got a MacBook pro 14in with m1 pro. i downloaded chrome but it crashes soon after lonch almost every time including after opening just 1 tab. I found that chrome works just fine on my other friends who own a mac, but when i turned on voiceover on their's chrome crashed a few minutes after opening it aswell. Anyone having the same issue? How do I fix this?
