So, as of right now, I have an iPhone 13. And I am strongly considering upgrading to this year‘s iPhone when it is released. However, I am debating whether I should get a regular iPhone 15, or if I should go pro. My reasoning, is because I have played with my girlfriends iPhone 14 Pro. And I find that I really like it. if you have an iPhone, specifically the pro line app. How is the battery life for you? I also noticed, that the pros seem to sound a little bit better than standard phones. I am also debating whether I should go for the promax. Considering the fact that I like to always buy OtterBox cases whenever I buy these phones.

go pro
better features camera battery and sound.
13 pro
Last year I went with the 13 pro. Battery is fantastic. Go with the pro.
Think I Already Know the answer to this but...
Hi. I'm probably due for an upgrade soon. I am on an iPhone 7, which is my first phone like this. Does it matter if one skips, i.e., if I were to purchase an iPhone 13 rather than the model right after what I have now?all I'm really looking forward to is the new accessibility features. Better sound and battery life would be awesome too. Ideally I'd also be grateful for LIDAR, as it sounds pretty neat. But I think I can settle for any of the newer models.
I agree with those that say go with the pro
The pro is awesome.
App switcher
@denis Long.
I definitely am going to go for a 15 pro. However, based on what I saw with my girlfriends phone. And I don’t know if anyone else is experiencing this, when she uses FaceTime she is having trouble going to the app switcher. I did not understand what she meant but she allowed me to use her phone so I can see how that issue is. And it definitely annoyed me.
Hope by the time 15 pro is…
Hope by the time 15 pro is out that will be fix. It probably is VO issue. If it was just app switcher sighted nuts be complaining about it and Apple would be fix it ASAP but because is blind nuts not much.
go to pro or pro max
I switch from 10R to 13 pro max for couple munth o wow.
amazing battery life.
almost 2 day's battery.
speakers also amazing, verry lout.
wherever Pro model is better
Hello
Not matter what kind of Pro model version you get it will bring more performance and also accessibility features built with
For example after the 12 pro or higher model under magnifier will find mode detection.
in order to identifier doors, people and image description also more features in 3rd party apps
Specific Factors
The 15 Pro is expected to have 3nm chip technology, which is expected to result in significantly greater battery life per charge. They are also expected to have more ram than ever before.
The Pro Max has a lot more battery life per charge than the Pro. The 15 Pro and Pro Max are expected to break records for high price. There may also be a delay in the release of the 15 Pro and Pro Max.
The 15 Pro and Pro Max are expected to have the best cameras ever, including a new, never before offered periscope telephoto feature.
I'm getting a 15 Pro or Pro Max. My 10S is getting a bit old.
More about the iPhones 15's and about IOS 17 will be announced in June. I would wait at least until then before deciding.
15 pro
OK. I will get it next year when the 16 pro is out. I have 13 pro that I got last Nov. Maybe the price be down by them.
It might also have solid state buttons
For those who don't like the home button, supposedly it's coming for the volume buttons. Not sure how I'd feel about it but if this is apple's deal then great. I do wish apple would decrease the price of phones, I'm unhappy spending over a thousand bucks.

Just wait for the 16 and get the 15 pro. The price probably be lower.
how important are the pro features for you?
Let me play devil's advocate here. Do you use lidar? Do you use tthe person detection in the magnifier app? I really don't think the better sensor on the pro will make much difference in OCR apps or Aira calls, we've already kind of hit bottlenecks there and I'm not sure you'll really see the benefit of the latest and greatest camera tech, especially if the base 15 has better hardware than your 13. I'm due for a new I device myself but I'm waiting to see what the actual phones are before I think about which one I want. Still, thatt extra couple hundred dollars seems like a hell of a premium for lidar and ever so slightly better speakers I probably won't use much anyway for serious music listening. I'm also never away from a power outlet or my battery pack for more than a day so a few more hours of battery life doesn't mean all that much to me if I can already last a few hours longer than I really need anyhow. I'll consider the pro if it has faster USB C transfer rates than the base model and if lidar apps mature a little in the next few months. Otherwise I imagine the base 15 will more than suit my needs ...
pro or no pro
if you do a payment plan the $5 or $6 a month for a pro isn't that much more in my opinion.
Two hundred dollars is a lot though
I personally hate payment plans and hope I can just buy my next device outright. You’re locked into a contract even if the company, like mine, keeps getting hacked and not really improving their security. Good luck getting an eSim if you plan on traveling anywhere outside your country while your phone is still carrier locked. I’m not judging anyone here, I’m currently locked into a payment plan myself and I get we do what we must but that extra few bucks a month still adds up to a lot. I personally think $800 is a lot to ask for a phone, let alone $1000 or likely more for the base pro model and it's really hard to justify that premium for slightly more processing power I’ll barely notice and an underutilized lidar system. I think if it were me I’d spend that extra money on some really good headphones or something but we’re all obviously different and I’m not here to tell people how to spend their hard earned dollars.
