Hello everybody,
Here are all the features that I have noticed that are new with VoiceOver in the latest version of macOS.
First, the per voice settings have also come to Mac OS. To find them, interact with a voice and press the info button in VO utility under the manage voices section.
other than that, I can't find any new features in the os.
If you know of any, please share them here.
Bugs
there are a few bugs, which may be big or small depending on the user.
There is a bug which will cause the keyboard commander to stop working, as well as control+option+d, control+option+f8, and many a few others.
When I was trying to get VOCR to work, I toggled off and on "allow Voiceover to be controlled by apple script", and that seemed to fix the issue.
There is a bug where single key quicknav will turn on in the wrong place. For example, when you press control+option+f, and start typing, the system will lag for about 10 seconds and say searching (what ever app your in), and then say, Accessibility visuals agent is not responding, and then say radio group or check box or heading or etc not found.
The solution is to turn this off by pressing control+option+q, and it will still work normally.
and remember, this is beta 1! Things will improve in beta 2, and maybe new bugs will be added.
This is part of the beta testing fun, and why I have 2 separate volumes on my mac, one containing mac os 13.4, and one containing the beta.
Hope you find this helpful and useful.

Apple Beta Releases
Your Feedback is Important to Improving Accessibility on Apple platforms
Don't assume that Apple is aware of a bug or that your report won't make a difference - submitting bug reports directly to the company helps them reproduce and resolve the issue faster. Your report may provide crucial information. The more reports they receive, the higher the priority they give to fixing the bug.
If you're using a beta version, use the Feedback Assistant on your device to submit feedback and bug reports. If you're using a public release, follow the instructions on this page.

A short question: How have…
A short question: How have you installed the beta on another volume? Have you downloaded the installer through the main installation in System Settings > Software Update and then selected the destination (the other volume)?
Is MacOS 14 stable compared to MacOS 13?
Is MacOS 14 stable compared to MacOS 13? just wondering.
……
I also have the control plus option plus D issue, I really hope they fix that soon
Quick NAV
I've been told single letter quick nav and arrow key quick nav now work independently of each other, and VoiceOver now says arrow key quick nav on or off when pressing the left and right arrows. I wish I had compatible hardware to test this on, but I'm waiting for M3 and hopefully many more VoiceOver bug fixes. Speaking of which, if the featureset is very small this time around, I hope we get lots of bug fixes. I've also been told the App Store is much easier to use now.
Thanks, but: Very frustrating indeed
It's frustrating to see that there is no new features nearly. Mac OS 13 still have crucial bugs from my point of view, like the one with Auto Language Detection which is still not addressed until today. Of course that it was reported even before the final release of 13.0 back then in last October, and one or two reminders were sent threw out this cycle, but to no avail. I still have some hope that more VO features from iOS and iPad OS will be ported to the Mac, as the roomers claimed that this release will ensure that the features will work the same across all devices, and I hope accessibility is included as well.
I had no "safari not…
I had no "safari not responding" message yet. Will see if it's better in the next days.
VOCR
As of yet, V OCR doesn't work for me. I might have to reset VoiceOver.
apple music question
does apple music shearch fungtion still can,t search by the individual songs?
No changes on my end
I have also updated my Mac to MacOS 14, and there are no changes on my end. however, the performance and speed is very good. I have not notice any new changes.
so far no changes
I haven't found any changes except for the eloquence higher sample rate from iOS 17 and watch OS 10.
can't wait for beta2 in about a week or so.
Can't find per-voice settings
Looked in the voices section of the VVO utility. Would love to turn community dictionary on for Eloquence.
Per-voice settings
To access per-voice settings, choose "Manage voices" from the voice popup menu in VoiceOver utility, locate and interact with the voice you want to modify in the list, and click the Info button.
Manage Voices
Got it, thanks. Rather different from the iOS layout, which is why I got confused. It's way at the bottom.
