Audible help

Hi all. I'm using the audible app, and I downloaded a book, waiting to be Heard, the Amanda Knox story to my phone. I listened to the book, and now I want ti off my phone. The delete button on the audible app itself is deactivated. No matter what I do it won't activate. If anyone else uses audible, please help. Siobhan

When I go back to the main list of books and choose one, the list of the different parts comes up. If I then go to the Delete Mode button, I am able to activate it and then delete the parts of the book as expected. It has always worked this way for me and as far as I know, I am using the latest version of the app. the only time I am unable to activate this button is when the book is not on the device. sorry I can't be more helpful, but maybe you should try reinstalling the app and trying again. As I said, it's always worked for me.

Hi, Siobhan. This is kind of confusing but it's easy once you know what to do. 1. Find the delete button, it will say delete button de-activated. This is normal. 2. When you double-tap the delete button, VoiceOver says, Delete mode activated. De-activate this feature to play audio. This means that as long as you have this mode turned on, you can't play audio. 3. Now go find the book you want to delete, and you'll find that there are now buttons to delete each part of the book, this is of course assuming that the book you want has more than one part. If it only has one part you'll find a button to delete that book. You may find that you have to hit the back button to find other books in your list of downloads, but you can now delete all the books you want to. 4. Now go back and double-tap your delete button just like before and you can now listen to audio again. I hope this wasn't too confusing!

Ok I don't have any books on my device. I only added a book once on the old iPhone four. When I did, I took the book off by iTunes. Now though I have tons of books that I thought I wanted to read, but if I tap them they are downloading. so I guess how do I activate the delete button because when I push it, It still says deactivated. Thanks anyway I'll just deal with it.
