With Icloud keychain supposed to work in other browsers now in mac os, I'm curious as to what people have experienced with Edge on Mac os, both relating to accessibility as well as performance. I'm running very old hardware, and even on new macs with Apple chips, Safari is busy, busy, busy. Is Edge any better in this regard? I quite like it on the Windows side, so if it's any good on mac os, it wouldn't take much to convince me to switch over.
Thanks in advance everyone for your feedback.

Just some follow up here. I went ahead and installed, after not receiving any comments. It's a lot more responsive, but not sure I really like the interface all that much. I've gone ahead and hidden a lot of the extras in the toolbar and such, and that seems to be better, but even so, it also seems to be a lot more verbose on Mac OS than it is on Windows. If anyone else is using it, and has any tips to make it feel more like safari, but without the Safari lag, that would be great. I also like that it will keep things in sync with my Windows desktop as well as my bootcamp install.
Edge vs Mac
Disclaimer: I am posting this off my MBP, using Edge for Intel Macs.
So, I would agree that it is a bit verbose. I am not sure if I would say it is more so than it is on Windows. It honestly feels about the same to me, but that could just be a mattter of my own verbosity settings on Windows and Mac.
Also agree the "default" interface is a chore to slog through, but its nice to be able to hide a lot of things I do not need. So now it feels a little more like Safari.
Ironically, I still get the occasional "Edge Not Responding", but it usually doesn't last long.
Overall its not a bad browser experience, but it feels a bit like Chrome for Mac.

I haven't used Chrome for mac.
Sorry, didn't realize you were already using Edge when I made the comments about it in my other thread.
I changed some verbosity stuff in VO utility, and that seems to have made it better.
I get Edge is not responding very very rarely. Almost not at all.
I go back and forth
I always end up back with Safari. She's like a stubborn ole girlfriend that I really cannot live with, or live without. 😖
Having said that I have Edge both on my MBP and iPhone. This way I can do a (sort of) custom version of hand-off between my iPhone and my Windows partition via Bootcamp. 😇

That's funny! But I find myself in the same boat. Just can't quite get used to the interface. VO plus J doesn't seem to work well to jump between the toolbar and the page. But, so far the biggest problem for productivity with either browser is what they've done with quicknav and letter navigation. Seriously tempted to try downgrading back to Ventura just for that. I kinda like desktop widgets in Sonoma, but otherwise there isn't much in Sonoma that I absolutely must have.
What's really funny
Is that way back when, OS X used to have a facsimile of desktop widgets. I "believe" it was actually called a Widget's Bar.
Then Apple got rid of it. Now we have, with Sonoma, Desktop Widgets. . . .
Hooray for innovation? 😖
