Hello team, I hope you are well.
I would like to report that while we are using any of the Siri voices with VoiceOver, it is not possible to ask Siri or use the listen to page button in the page formatting settings in Safari in order for the current page to be read. The problem was identified in iOS 17.0.3, but also occurs in the initial version of iOS 17.
Steps to reproduce the problem:
1) Make sure that a Siri voice is being used Before opening Safari;
2) locate the page settings button in the upper left corner of any page that contains a text or article;
3) Check that the listen page button appears dimmed. The only way to solve the issue is by switching voices and, in some cases, restarting Safari.
It is worth noting that it was not possible to identify if this behavior also occurs if the voice Used by VoiceOver, even if it is one of Siri's voices, is not your default.
I hope this problem can be solved. Thank you very much for your attention.
Sincerely,
Ricardo Brandão

Do you think 3rd-party browsers will support this?
HHi,I don't use Safari.
I have Microsoft Edge & prefer that.
Do you think that 3rd-party browsers will support this feature?

Friend, I can't say it, but I believe so. You can check if Chrome, for example, already has a similar function. This depends a lot on each developer...
