Importing DVDs into iTunes

Hi, We are going on holiday next week and have some DVDs we'd like to put into iTunes so we can put them on our iPad. Does anyone know of any accessible way to do this on PC? I would do it on my Mac, but the iPad is synced with the library on my mums PC and we don't wanna override all the stuff that's already on there. If someone could reply with an accessible way to do this as soon as possible that would be great, as I need a way to keep my 6 year old sister quiet on the 4 hour flight :). Thanks.

Hi Callum. I wonder could you use Handbreak on your Mac to rip the DVD and then transfer the files to the PC using an external hard drive or USB key or something? Sorry I don't know of any PC software myself so this is the best option I can think of.

Actually, that could work. Can you post a link where I can download handbreak, or just tell me what website to go to? Thanks.
Hi. Well I've no idea where I got it from myself because it was a couple of years ago, but a quick Google comes up with plenty of links. Here's one I found, which is from CNET which I believe is a pretty reputable source. It's open source software so is free. It's fully VoiceOver accessible. http://download.cnet.com/HandBrake/3000-2194_4-10808250.html
