Sleep focus question

Hi Guys, was wondering if anyone knows the answer to the following question. When you set up sleep focus you can choose people who can still phone you during that time period. At the same time you can also choose apps that can notify you during the period. The weird thing is in the apps options the phone app shows up. So, the question is if you select the phone app does that override the people you choose? I.E all calls will come through. If so what is the point of the phone app being an option to choose? Or do the two things work differently and if so how. Confused lol.

I believe this is so Voice Mail announcements can come through. Just my thought on the matter. 🤷🏻‍♂️

That's not a bad shout would make some kind of sense.

I’ve been wondering this about focus modes too, but not only the Phone app. When creating a focus mode, apps like Messages and WhatsApp are there too. How do they work when you have also allowed or blocked people?
I also find that some apps are not available in the list for some reason. In one case, I was creating a work related focus mode. Apple’s original auto-selected group of apps included Viva Engage, but when I go to edit the apps list, Viva Engage is not there!

You are supposed to be able to add/deny any app. Period. however what you can and what you want never sync with Apple.
True story.
