Using textedit

Hi i am trying to use textedit but i keep getting the ruler, how i get rid of it? Also how do i centre headings? One more thing can someone please link David Woodbridge's bigginers series for the mac please thanks

Hi. YOu should be able to find david woodbridge's basic mac pod casts on this site. If you vo right from the ruler you should be in the edit field. Just interact with this field. I hope this helps

To centre text: 1. Highlight the text to be centred. 2. Activate the menu with VO+m. 3. Choose Format then Text then Centre. Alternatively: 1. Highlight the text to be centred. 2. press Command+VerticleLine. HTH

Hi i will be going to college round about next month and i want to ask if you would recomend textedit for writing assignments or are there other better apps
