IOS-7 was downloaded by mistake-- not installed-- how do I delete it?

Hi. I noticed that my "other" storage was more than 3.5gb, and general settings / usage informed me that something called applelink had downloaded IOS-7, which I don't want right now, and didn't ask for. My only two choices are "learn more" and "install now." It's taking up around 2.5 gb in "other" storage, and I want to delete it. How can I accomplish that??? Thanks, Doug Martin

I've seen this mentioned in past years. From what I recall, the only options are to either go ahead and install the upgrade or do a restore of your device. However, as Apple are no longer signing iOS 6.1.4, a restore would automatically upgrade you to 7.0. So, unless anybody else has a solution, you either have to upgrade or leave the upgrade files on your device until you are ready to upgrade.

What a crafty company! I won't be upgrading unless accessibility issues are fixed, as smooth as on iOS 6. I vow so. Let's see whether my iPhone breaks down first or Apple regains my loyalty with almost bug-free VoiceOver first.

If a report on App Advice is to be believed, Apple is now automatically pushing the iOS 7 update files out to all compatible devices which haven't yet been updated. Although it won't process the update without your approval, it would mean that the files are sat taking up space on your device, and there is nothing that you can do to remove them.
