Solos have unveiled the AirGo Vision, a revolutionary pair of smart glasses that integrate GPT-4o, making them the first of their kind to offer real-time AI visual analysis. Designed to provide a wealth of information based on visual input, these glasses have the potential to significantly enhance the lives of blind and visually impaired individuals by offering a hands-free, intuitive experience.
Anyone with experience of either the Seleste smart glasses or the Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses will have an idea of what these glasses might be able to do. Anyone who saw the demonstration of of GPT-4o in May could put two-and-two together and see how a blind person might use this product, designed for everyone, as a form of Assistive Technology.

I'm in
I will be getting these as soon as I can. I already pay for ChatGPT+ and hope I won't need another subscription.
You might want to look on youtube.
I've found a lot of videos about the solos Air Go 3. I'd not personally use it at the moment but it's definetly chat gpt on your face and a lot of people are very impressed.
According to a video, solos is subscription bassed.
Or at least the solos 3 is, I thought it would be because chat gpt is going to want a payment. Here's the video for anyone interested: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5fK3JP0h8Gs

Thanks for the YouTube link - very interesting. I guess these new glasses are going to work in a similar way.
Having different apps for the different features feels a bit fiddly. I think these glasses will excel for ChatGPT stuff but probably not for actually talking to humans. For example I think WhatsApp on the Meta Ray-bans will be a lot better than what this can offer. Particularly if you need to whip out the phone and switch apps.
I can't wait to find out if it really does work with live video as per the ChatGPT demo, and as was mentioned on the other thread, how good the battery will be wwhen asked to do it.
As for directions and things, I wonder if it will be able to use GPS to know where I am. In the car, we can ask Google to find somewhere to eat and then take us there. I can't really do that sort of thing with the Metas, although maybe only a matter of time. But that would be a great feature if it could be done.
It's a shame the cost of the subscription wasn't mentioned. Hopefully you can use the non-AI features without one and then it feels reasonable to charge if it is using Cloud AI. It'll be interesting to find out how much this is.
I'm sure translation was mentioned with the Metas. Not sure if that was coming soon or if they can already do it. But the list of languages this app supports was very impressive.
No problem.
I don't think these are for me now I've thought about it, but i hope others review and enjoy them.
other languages
I hope (and maybe think) this glasses will support other languages. The Meta Glasses support only some languages because the LLAMA LLM is only trained on some languages. And since CHATGPT supports more languages... I hope this glasses also wil do. :D
the Solos AirGo app is
Hello,
I just installed the Solos AirGo app on my iPhone to check if this is accessible. The first screens are accessible but when you have to choose the avatar it is impossible to choose one.
Maybe someone else have better results :D
I've send an email
Yes, I've gone ahead and send them an email. Don't know if they'll return or not.But would be great if all the interested folks can go and drop an email. That way, they'll have a sense of the size and potential of the market.
