Hi all.
As we are getting closer to the release of ios18 next Monday, I would like to know if espeak ng will continue working, after the ios update?
I use espeak exclusively, so if for any reason it will not work under ios 18, I wouldn't update my phone untill it is fixed.
Many thanks

If you experience a bug in Apple Beta Software, the most important thing you can do is to file a report in Feedback Assistant. Please do not assume that Apple is already aware of a bug or that your report won't make a difference; your report may provide crucial information, and submitting bug reports directly to Apple helps them reproduce and resolve the issue faster. The more reports they receive, the higher the priority Apple is likely to give to fixing the bug.
If you are using beta software, please use the Feedback Assistant on your device to submit feedback and bug reports. If you are using a public release, this blog post explains how to report the issue and what information to include.
In 2025, AppleVis launched the Community Bug Reporting Program with the goal of improving the quality and quantity of information we share with the community about bugs in Apple software releases. If you would like to contribute to this effort, please submit your reports via our Community Bug Report Form.
All reports shared with AppleVis must first be filed with Apple via Feedback Assistant. More information about the Community Bug Program is available here.

Aye
Aye, it does. Tested it out on the beta yesterday. You may just have to choose your voice again.
Thanks
Glad to hear that it works. I will get the update strate away.
Thanks.
eSpeak on Sequoia
Hello.
since I've the same question, decided to post it here rather than create a new topic. Do you know, if it Does work on mac os Sequoia?
It does.
It does work in macOS 15, but you may have to set your voiceover voice to it again.
Similar Question...
Hi all. I have a similar question regarding eSpeak on iOS. For whatever reason, my iPhone 14 will automatically switch to another voice when using eSpeak. This primarily happens when charging the phone. It's not a deal breaker by any means as I can just go back and manually switch the voice if I want to, but I'm just curious whether this has happened to anybody else. I'm running all latest builds of iOS 17, and will probably soon be updating once iOS 18 is let loose.
