So I'm wanting to resume my mastodon experience, but uninstalled Metatext since it hadn’t been updated in forever, thus sadly I now know from related forum posts that the developper of Metatext (my Mastodon app of choice since I joined mid2022) thus I'm using the Official Mastodon app which isn't that bad (except for the need to scroll back to where I was within the Home Tab since after a few right-swipes the VoiceOver focus jumps way down within the TimeLine! Thus it also lacks the feature which allows you to set up when "rolling Stone" post, you're notified, which I loved about the "
Metatext" app!.
Mona? I know about that one (and I've got it as free right now), but it seems (apart from a bit steep in price about $250Mxn), way too complex!,but yes I admit some of its functions are awesome! Like being able to select different sounds for each sort of event; nevertheless I just feel I wouldn't use all of the functions, thus the price wouldn't be worthwhile.
Thus I'd like your guys recommendations on an easy/free VoiceOver-friendly accessible Mastodon ioS client, especially I'd like it to include the feature, if "New York Times" posts something, I can be notified, thus I'd like at least, to be using Mastodon at a basic but accessible level.
Thanks for info.

Tusker.
Which always confuses me, because it's the name of a Kenyan beer. There might be more, but it's what I'm currently using,
although I might end up switching to Mona.
Ice Cubes
Ice Cubes is really good. I haven't used it in a while since I bought Mona so I'm not sure if it has all the features you're looking for, but it's free and very accessible so definitely worth a try.
+1 for Ice Cubes
I started out with Ice Cubes and really like it. I then tried Mona (which has a restricted free version if you want to give it a try)
I actually prefer the Ice Cubes interface - it feels simpler and more intuitive to me. On the other hand, Mona took a bit of getting used to and seems to have a billion features.
But when I was comparing the two apps, I noticed I was getting toots on Mona that I wasn't seeing on Ice Cubes. Not sure why that is, it's possible it was my fault, but I switched to Mona after that.
I should say I'm a bit of a lurker and don't post much so am as far away from being a power user as you can get. Even so I ended up buying the full version of Mona as the free one was a bit limited even for me.
