I have an SE phone running iOS 18.1. I just discovered a bug when I was trying to move an app into a folder. It said drop within games folder, but when I tried that, it put the app before the folder. No matter what I tried, it would not put the app within the folder. Did I do something wrong, or is it Apple‘s problem?

In short, it is a bug introduced in iOS 18.1.
Unfortunately a Bug
This is, unfortunately, a bug in iOS 18.1.
There are a couple of *possible* workarounds, depending on how you access your iPhone.
The easiest workaround is to open the folder, find an app inside the folder, and use the Rotor to drop the app before or after that app.
The problem is that sometimes, VoiceOver will report that the folder is open; when VoiceOver focus remains on the Home Screen.
Depending on how you use your iPhone (braille display, keyboard, touchscreen), it may be possible to move the app into the folder using the Hold-and-Drag method on the touchscreen.
dragging worked
thank you, Michael. I tried dragging the app, and it actually worked. I wasn’t aware of that method until now.
