good morning all my name is chris and this is my very first post on here. I have been following this community for years and have gained some extremely valuable insights and so for that I want to thank everyone who contributes.
my question is and please forgive me if it has been addressed somewhere else already but sometimes when I go onto a webpage, whether it be through Google or Safari, my voice will keep repeating close while I try to navigate the page. I assume it is jumping to the close button at the top. I have not yet found a pattern of what webpages or what content I might be browsing to make this happen. If anyone else has had any similar experiences and can offer some guidance, it would be very much appreciated.
in gratitude
Chris

Stuck in a loading loop
Hi there,
It sounds like Safari is stuck in a loading loop. This can happen sometimes. Try this in the future, when you experience this, tap toward the top of the screen with four fingers to get voice over to go to the top of the page. Next, take three fingers and kind of drag downwards, sort of like you're trying to scroll the page. This will force Safari to refresh, and "should" help resolve the situation.

Are you trying to load an image-heavy website?
This usually happens to me if the webpage I'm trying to load contains embedded images. I'm guessing VoiceOver either thinks something in each image looks like a Close button, or the way it was put on the website implies that it can be dismissed. Either way, I unfortunately haven't been able to figure out how to get it to quit doing it.
Regions and Announcements
I would recommend putting toggle regions and announcements in your rotor. The next time you encounter this, go to that option in your rotor and swipe up or down with one finger to turn it off. This works great in Zoom to where you don't have to hear who's leaving and joining the meeting.
Try tapping with two fingers…
Try tapping with two fingers to pause speech, going home, then going back to the website
