Is anybody who uses Weather Gods getting notifications? I haven't heard any in a while now. Did something change? Thanks.

Hi,

I'm not aware of any problems with notifications and I just checked the server logs - we send 10s of thousands every day.

I have had some users contact me and the reason they have not been getting notifications is probably down to the recent iOS updates. Specifically the notification settings in the iPhone / iPad settings have been switched off for Weather Gods.

Please check for "allow notifications" and tick the settings for where these notifications are permitted e.g. Lock Screen, banners etc

You can also send me a feedback email from within the app and I can assist further.

Kind regards
Scott

Hi Scott. Thanks for your reply. I'm looking in notifications in settings and it's on for Weather Gods. Is there a specific setting I need to find besides that?

iOS 18.1 and 16 pro max. No issues. Getting the notifications. Using the potential RC.

I can't reproduce this either.

Delete the app, reinstall it and make sure your previous setting are back in the app. Sometimes reinstalling the app helps.

Not sure what the problem was as everything was correct in terms of the app. However, re-launching the app triggered a re-sync and that straightened out settings between the app and server.

I should have been getting some yesterday because of the heavy rain, but it just now occurred to me that I didn't. I'm curious what the fix was; do I need to do anything on my end? Lol of course, today seems to be a quiet weather day, so no real way of testing whether they're working.

Hi Brooke

Just launch the app and se if any come through after 3-6 hours.

If not, feel free to send me a feedback email from within the app (in settings).

Launching the app triggers a sync between the app and the server.
