Looking for iOS Apps with Great VoiceOver Accessibility – Any Recommendations?

Hi everyone 👋

I’m currently exploring iOS apps that are really well-optimized for VoiceOver users. I’d love to experience apps where accessibility isn’t just an afterthought but feels intentional and polished — smooth navigation, meaningful labels, good rotor support, etc.

If you’ve come across apps (any category — productivity, reading, utilities, games, etc.) that offer a great VoiceOver experience, I’d really appreciate your recommendations. Bonus points if you can include the App Store link so I can check them out directly! 😄

Looking forward to hearing what your favorites are!

Thanks in advance 🙏

Before i start listing apps, may be a suggestion for Applevis gods, may be allow filtoring capabilities in app directory, so that we can sort them by accessibility rating or something like that. I am guessing since most of them are user submitted, majority of them would be those with good accessible UI.
Firstly, most Apple apps will have good accessibility, Google and Microsoft not that far behind. So, Apple podcasts, Seeing AI etc would be good starting points. I also like accessibility of Microsoft Outlook app on IOS. Their calendar implementation is very conveniant.
Speaking of RSS reader, try Unread: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/unread-an-rss-reader/id1363637349
Tapestry is also an upcoming one where they do prioritize accessibility.
Dolfin easy reader is also accessible.
And of course, we can't forget Be My Eyes.
If I am thinking about main-stream apps, Youtube, Instagram etc are accessible, but the content they provide might lack audio descriptions or even correct alt-text at times. Whatsapp is also accessible, but there are small issues around few areas, take that voice message button for example, some of us find it really hard to do long-press and hold. Also whatsapp doesn't describe images in some of it's area, have to relye on VO's image recognition capabilities.
I can't think of more currently, will drop them if I remember a notable example.

Dice world is an example to Voice Over users.
The developer made an app witch is very accessible.
There is a Rotor options, and the developer made good job with it.-

I second Dice World. I can be found on there if anyone wants my username, just send me a message, as I don't want to start putting usernames in this thread.

There are tons. What sort of app are you looking for or is it simply to see what good accessibility looks like?

We can already filter by accessibility status, Hokusai too is a great audio editor that has an entire chapter in the manual dedicated to accessibility.

If you're an avid reader BARD Mobile is fantastic. It is from the National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled, but I believe at present it only works here in the US. But Weather Gods is international and is perfect for those weather buffs out there. The lead developer Scott is active on here. For an app which wasn't accessible from the get-go, this one comes highly recommended by yours truly. Hth and if any of you wish to contact me privately, feel free.

Technically, BARD Mobile is accessible, but its interface is very non-standard, making it very awkward to use. The Audible app, Libby and BookPlayer are all accessible and much more user friendly as audiobook players.

If you live in Australia, the bureau of meteorology weather app is extremely accessible.

Another good source for this is to look at the winners of the annual AppleVis Golden Apples awards, which are voted on by the community here. Here’s the link:

You may also want to look at the Recommended Apps section towards the bottom of the AppleVis homepage.
