Apple Beta Releases

I am stuck. I have been trying to get off Beta on my iPad since October. I turned beta updates off waited for next public release and still get beta updates. Don't know what else to do. Please help any other advice? Should be simple but either I did something wrong or something wrong is going on with this feature.

Your Feedback is Important to Improving Accessibility on Apple platforms

Don't assume that Apple is aware of a bug or that your report won't make a difference - submitting bug reports directly to the company helps them reproduce and resolve the issue faster. Your report may provide crucial information. The more reports they receive, the higher the priority they give to fixing the bug.

If you're using a beta version, use the Feedback Assistant on your device to submit feedback and bug reports. If you're using a public release, follow the instructions on this page.

If you have the option of using a computer, you could at least restore the IPSW file of the current release build to your device, if you really can't upgrade from Settings. However, be aware that any backup you have, or make, must be before the build your restoring, or otherwise it can't be used. If you really need your backup data, then your only option is to keep going on the beta, or simply wait, until the release version is later than the version your backup is made with.

OP says they haven't updated since October, there has been a release version since then. Unless they're running a beta of ipad OS 19 but that seems unlikely.

Im on Ios 18.4 the rc version I'm guessing. But my settings in the software update is giving me option to update to Ios Beta 5 which I'm not doing. I was on 18.4 I'm guessing RC version since I'm still getting beta updates even though I have them turned off. I was hoping not to have to use my computer because putting it in recovery mode to get on public release the gester I can't do with my hands at all.

The current public release is 18.4.1 with a build number of 22E252. If you've disabled beta updates entirely, it should upgrade you to that version using Software Update. Have you tried rebooting your device? If none of that works, you may want to try an erase all content and settings reset, or put your device into DFU mode and restore it with Finder on a Mac, iTunes, or the Apple Devices app, which will always put you on the latest public release for your device.

In Settings, General, Software Update you've got the Beta Updates setting set to Off, yes?

If you have and you still see the beta then, yes, do a restart, perhaps connect to another network whether Wi-Fi or cellular, but I'm afraid you'll have to either reset it to see if that clears the problem, or else find some help for using the computer, if you can. I'd guess the reset could be made less awful if you have an iCloud backup, as an alternative to iTunes/Finder, but either way you have a software problem and need to clear whatever's causing it, either a bug or your data. Sorry about that!
Edit: Also, even if you use your computer, you might be able to avoid DFU mode since you're restoring a newer build. Try it before giving up on it, especially if you can update directly with no loss of data.

While it's a long shot, try toggling the Beta Updates setting to one of the available Beta options, close out of Settings, then come back and turn it off again.

So i tried all the suggestions still see 18.5 beta in software updates. my software is 18.4 build 22 e240. And yes. beta updates are turned off. I do have icloud backup on. So if i did erase and restore the ipad will put me on 18.4 for public? Since 18.4 is what I have in backup? This should be so simple just turn beta updates off but it's looking like that is not really.
