Same here---there are exactly two buttons in the live interface, namely, one to pause the chat, and one to end it. I am mildly upset by the fact that, while I am paying to receive access to new AI features as soon as they become available, the reality seems to be otherwise.
Can anyone report they have access?
Google AI studio, should work just as well as chat gpt, well, not just as well, I like chat gpt better, but it’s the only option we have now if you don’t wanna pay
Google AI studio did have the option a little while ago. I haven't checked the space in a while but it should be there. As for the feature within the app, it seams it's 'actually' rolling out.
As of 5/24/25 the previous Gemini Live button above the letter p has been replaced by a Microphone button in the bottom right corner of the app. Where I used to be able to hold a pretty good conversation, now when I activate the Microphone button it only stays selected and Gemini sometimes listens for the length of one question then becomes mute, and when I click the more options button there is a camera button which is greyed out.Rolling out? When? 😒 Can anybody verify or report a different experience? Thanks.
I think the microphone is different, that's for dictation. for the fully chatty thing it says 'go live'. It might be worth starting a new conversation.
I uninstalled and reinstalled the app and the Go Live button is back working as expected but still no apparent way to include information from the camera.
So the Gemini screen sharing and video on the live section of Gemini is slowly rolling out to every other user, in the begining only newer android phones had it, then they started to roll it out. I feel they'll start rolling out the version of IOS after they finish rolling it out for the Android side as I heard at first it wasn't available on IOS; however, they recently announced it will be coming later. So just be patient.

"Rolling out" seems to be the buzz phrase which can forgive all.
Question
Does google AI studio have free options for video and screen sharing? If it does, I have never seen that before

When I played with the app last night, I only had the voice option, no video.
Mind you, the app was last updated a week ago at the time.
