Ahead of WWDC25, we're hearing more and more stuff to expect on iOS 19 for newer Apple Intelligence devices. What would you'll like to see implemented for Non-Apple Intelligence devices?
I think Apple should start taking the opportunity to fix the annoying bugs. Especially on macOS. The one where VoiceOver says, "Safari not responding." "Chrome not responding."
I also think Apple should allow us to dissable when VoiceOver says "Finder is launched in the background." "Safari is launched in the background."
What do you all think of my ideas and bug fixes here?
I am having issues doing the 3 finger tripple tap to turn it off. I think I turn if on, Need to be on setting under voiceover to show on or off. It is on the watch under accessibility and voiceover. Why not on the phone. can someone explain why not. Maybe Sara.
What I would love to see for next year, would be for Apple to simply revert macOS back to the days of macOS Sierra, and then just work the code back up to Sequoia or whatever next year's macOS version will be.
For those who do not know, Sierra was when Siri first came to macOS, but more importantly, SNR did not exist back then. 🙂
I would not mind something similar for iOS. Reverted back to an earlier version. Though I know this will be highly debatable, but I will be fine with iOS reverting back to iOS 14, as for me personally iOS 14 man really well. Basically what I am suggesting here is that Apple revert iOS any of a macOS to an earlier, stable version, where there were far less bugs than there are today, and rework the code back up to today's standards, minus all of the bugs and annoyances. 😇
I’m gonna think on this a little bit because everything I’ve wanted for a long time, I’ve said time and time again—and nothing has changed. But I do have a question regarding Apple Intelligence. Like, what exactly are you getting with Apple Intelligence that couldn’t be implemented on older devices? Because from what I can tell, a lot of the features people are excited about are already being offered by third-party apps or services—sometimes even for free. So I’m trying to understand what’s actually new here in terms of the feature set.
Also, is Apple Intelligence something you have to pay for? I could’ve sworn I read somewhere that it’s not going to be free. But even if it is free, why can’t it be brought to older iPhones? What is it offering that’s so high-tech that it absolutely needs the latest hardware to function? From what I understand, Apple Intelligence can summarize your emails, notes, or messages. That’s great if you’re running a business or getting hundreds of emails per day and need a quick overview of everything. But a lot of people aren’t operating at that volume—at least I don’t think so. I could be wrong, of course.
But again, my main question is: what exactly is Apple Intelligence doing that you can’t already get from a third-party provider? And if it’s about hardware limitations, then fine—say that. But if it’s more about money or exclusivity, then be honest. I’m not angry about it, only curious.
AI, suppose to be integrated in the apple apps. It will be able to tell you of a coming appointment without you asking, if you are planning to travel, it can help you get a plane ticket, if your mom's birthday it can tell you to get a present and so. It will not come for a year or more.
1. ChatGPT integration with VoiceOver.Currently when I want to get my screen described, the only way I could do it is to take a screenshot. Click on the share button and send it to Be My Eyes.
It would be great if this feature is directly built into VoiceOver, where I could just do a hand gesture on the screen, a new interface will open up to describe the screen with ChatGPT
2. Integrate sleep schedule with medication feature in the health app.
Currently my medication schedule is based on weekdays, but during the weekends when I tend to wake up later, I still receive notification to take my medication, even during the weekends when I am still in bed. Apple really should sort this out by either integrating, the medication schedule directly into the sleep function or giving us more flexibility by customising the individual timing for specific days.
I will also require Apple to give us an additional option for specific time intervals. I would need them to change it to a frequency basis, such as every three hours before the notification comes to take my medication. Currently if you don’t already know, you can only set a specific time in which the reminder will come. (I heard Apple is a really health focused company so this requirement might benefit everyone in my opinion)
3. More AI features on non apple intelligence devices.
It is very shocking that Apple has even limited the ChatGPT extension to iPhone 15 pro or newer I understand that on device processing such as writing tools cannot be supported, but the least Apple can do is giving us ChatGPT integration with our Siri as that is cloud based and non Apple intelligence devices are perfectly fine to connect to the Internet to get information that way. so I do not know why Apple didn’t give us this feature in iOS 18 already.
4. Make the VO cursor on screen a different colour.
Now, currently as my device is set to dark mode, the VoiceOver cursor is always white in colour, even when visiting a web page that has a white background for low vision users like me, its impossible to locate where is the VoiceOver cursor on screen with such colours so Apple should figure out a way so that VoiceOver itself knows what colour is my screen whether black or white so that it could change its cursor colour accordingly.
This are just my wishes of course
I doubt any of them would come through personally😔
I don’t know if you’ve tried this already, but you can make the voice over cursor be bigger.
Although I am totally blind, I could see how a white cursor on a white background isn’t the best.
If you haven’t already, go to settings, accessibility, VoiceOver, and toggle on large cursor.
At least the cursor will be bigger in size and I believe thicker.
Hey there!
My large cursor is already on.
But the issue is that the behaviour of the cursor colour is not what I would like
For example, when my phone is in light theme the cursor will be in dark theme
When my phone is in dark theme, the cursor will be in light theme.
All this has been working quite well.
But the frustrating issue it currently has is when I’m in a app or website that does not support dark theme, and only has light mode, the cursor will not switch to the black cursor as my phone is still in dark mode.
I hope you understand what I’m trying to say here.
So I’m hoping in the next update, Apple will give us a feature where VoiceOver knows what is the colour of the background and adjust its cursor accordingly. Sure I could adjust my phone to light theme in the control centre but we are in 2025, I prefer most things to be automatic if you know what I mean.

Re: fix the bugs
I would also want Apple to fix VoiceOver Recognition not working because whenever I enable VO Recognition, it freezes, making my iPhone not usable.
Image Descriptions are also
bugs and screen curtain

Older devices could handle apple intelagencs
i am sure older devices could handle AI but apple won’t do it cause they want your money

I don’t want to be pessimistic, but
I believe new bugs are gonna be introduced. Because the whole iOS will be redesigned again...
