Hi, just a quick question that should be easy for someone to help me with. I've only just got my new Mac and I can't remember how to turn off column preview in tables. It's driving me crazy especially in Finder.
When I looked for the post all I found was one that was talking about autoscrolling.
What I 've tried:
VO utility, then go to to navigation but that was suggested by Google AI.
Does anyone have any ideas?
For the record it's a 2020 Macbook Air with M1 chip.
I can't wait to hear from you.

If you mean the view option
Press CMD + 1 to switch to icons, 2 to lists, 3 to columns.
Uncertain What I mean
All I know is that sometimes I'm in column view on my Finder and at times when I'm navigating Voiceover will say"Empty Cell" Any ideas?
This is a bug, happens…
This is a bug, happens sometimes especially in save/open dialog on 1st or 3rd party apps. As of Sequoia you have more freedom customizing VO keyboard shortcuts on the mac. VO+f6, or VO+fn+f6, or VO+FN+6, depending on your configuration, is mapped to read selected text or item. Depending on exactly where you are and your interaction level this may or may not work all the time or give you the information you want, but I use this often so I've personally remapped it to VO+shift+backspace.
HTH.
