I can't find any information on this. Is there a pass through way to do a pinch gesture, like what the sighted folk use to shrink and expand things, so I don't have to keep turning off Voiceover? The double tap and hold doesn't work with the pinch.
Asking because in the camera app, if you have VoiceOver focused on the viewfinder, you can use the rotor to get to a zoom control, then you can swipe up or down to adjust zoom settings.
other than in the Camera app or in the Maps app or any screen which displays the camera or maps interface like an app showing a package on a map, the map that is in the Find My app, etc., I have not seen the zoom rotor.
You could always try enabling zoom and accessibility settings, but keep in mind that youβre three finger gestures will require one additional tap then they would before, meaning you now triple tap to turn speech off, quadruple tap to toggle screen curtain, etc.
My current frustration is with the photos app in the cropping tool. You use the pinch gesture to shrink or expand a whole image in pixel size, not just one side. Voiceover turns that gesture into text selection, so I have to turn it off to do that. Then I have to remember to turn Voiceover on before touching the screen again. I've gotten strange results sometimes.
In the camera app, that rotor zoom seems to do nothing for the actual zoom controls of the camera. I have to do the sighted people gesture to get the zoom control to appear on the screen. It might be because I have an SE modle, and it is only a digital zoom, rather than an optical zoom, like with the three camera iPhones.

Is this for the camera app?
