LOCKJAWS: A Very irritating Condition with JAWS and Jabber

Greetings friends. I hope someone can perhaps make some suggestions for me about how to deal with a JAWS issue, one it really should not be having. A few updates ago in JAWS 2025, something broke in the Cisco Jabber application. For those who do not know, Jabber is something like Microsoft Teams in that it is used for chats amongst colleagues. the chat history area of the program on Windows causes JAWS to use the virtual cursor, and up until about two or three minor updates ago, everything worked as it was supposed to. However, now, as soon as you enter the virtual area with JAWS, there is a pause of about 15-20 seconds before any text is read, if it does at all. To work around this, I have to unload 2025 and run 2024 if I want to be able to respond to chats with Jabber. I was hoping that someone might have a suggestion or two as to how to fix this issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated since I haven't heard back from FS Tech Support in over two months. To be fair, they did call and try to work with me on the issue, and I was able to demonstrate it. But since that call, queue the crickets.

Thanks again for any help.

I was going to ask if you reported it. Which you did so that's good.
I have a somewhat related issue where JAWS 2025struggles to process tables that are ARIA based. I turn "controls and tables" off which reverts the virtual buffer back to the classic one cell per line, one control per line view. I can suggest that it's worth a try in your Jabber. Press JAWSKey+x when virtual cursor is active to toggle.

Thank you for the response. I think that we tried that on the tech call, but I honestly can't remember. I will try that again and see what happens. Take care.
