Hey y'all. I have an M4 Mac mini running Sequoia, and every time I close an app, voiceover says authentication and I have to command tab to get out of it. Any idea why this is happening?
Your not the only one having this issue but you will need to call Apple's accessibility line and let them know what's going on. For over two months I've been running around trying to get someone to listen to me about this very annoying voiceover bug.
To fix this here's how to do it. Keep in mind then is a quick fix and not a permanent fix.
1. Go to the Apple menu and press the Letter S for system settings.
2. Press enter.
3. Up arrow to general and then VO-right arrow.
4. VO-right arrow to log in settings.
5. Interact with that table on the right.
6. If you see a table that has something called system speech in it, get rid of it.
7. Press command-q to get out and all should be well.
Note that this doesn't work all of the time as I am finding out because I have done a fresh install of the operating system. I mean a fresh install with no backups from time machine migration at all. Everything has been set up as new and I have done this tiring process four times.
