Apple Beta Releases

Hello! I have been using the Apple Journal app on my IPhone for a long time and it is also great that it now works on iPad too. I have a question though. How does the map view on it work? I can't quite get the hang of it. Any help would be appreciated. //Tuesdale D

Since I love keeping a diary I use it a lot and thankfully now you can search for phrases using quotation marks which is a relief. The search locations is a bit weird. I have thankfuly put parentices around the location which makes it able to search locations even before the update. It would be cool to be able to use the map feature somehow though.

You just hit cmd n to add an new entry. Otherwise it's the usual stock interface, sidebar, collection, and etc.

Yes it works really great. It kicks the heck out of all of the other diary apps that I have tried. With the map view thing though I mean the ones in the area called places. I see the map but can't seem to figure out how to even use ,it. I have been using the app from when it was released and loveit. It's also great that it is fully ,integrated with iOs and iPad OS too.

Searching for text works but searching for places, tapping places in the search, is very tricky because instead of echoing what I type it's kind of strange and when I type the text is entered it kind of says a lot of different things. I hope it gets fixed because the app is amazing.

I'm using this app on my iPhone. To me at least, it seems like accessibility has regressed in iOS 26.

When you start a new entry, the suggestions you can pick from aren't as easy to read as they should be. -Vo just tells you what kind of asset it is, like "media asset" or "reflection asset". The only way to know what it actually is is with text recognition in the image. I would think those would just be read as a regular button.

I haven't used that a lot but checked and you seem correct. I am not using photos very much so I don't know a workaround for this. I am not sure what you mean with text recognition because you can't use the feature on an image on the actual screen. Are you refering to screen recognition or the describe images feature? Or do you mean another app?
