Or I believe I do experience this.
I feel the on screen keyboard is a bit sluggish since upgrading to iOS 26.
I'm currently running iOS 26.0.1 on an iPhone 14.
I've turned off audio ducking completely and I think it's a bit better actually.
I'm still experimenting with this though.
I usually have VO audio ducking set to while VO speaks but now I switching between off and while speaking to figure out if that helps.
I'm also on an iPhone 14, and currently using Samantha Enhanced. I've not experienced any sluggishness with the on-screen keyboard. Furthermore, I was using my HumanWare eReader yesterday a bit and found that the on-screen keyboard was turned off in the Braille settings. It is currently turned on, but I will turn it back off and see what happens. I had a slight issue with the on-screen keyboard before upgrading, so perhaps Apple fixed this at least for some of us. It's interesting how these issues crop up for some users but not others.
Absolutely. I'm using an IPhone SE 2nd gen. It's utterly pathetic! I wish I'd never updated, but they'd have forced the issue at some point anyway. Indeed, it appears my Cox Panoramic app no longer works, which kinda makes it hard, since I'm the family sysadmin, & now I can't control devices, etc. I didn't complain about the sluggishness since I fully understand my hardware is pretty dated, but it appears I'm not the only 1 experiencing this. & yes, I did restart my phone. & I waited till the .01 update. BLAH! Truthfully, I think I began noticing this w/ the 18.71 update as well, though not nearly as profoundly as in 26.01.
Whenever I send a message and ype. Also VO sometimes does not read the letter after typing. Is it me or iOS 26 made VO worse. There are more bugs about VO than a NY city hotel.
What I here is VO clipping off most of the spoken letter after typing, but not all the time. It's just a tiny bit of the beginning of the letter that sounds when it happens.
I've had the issue with letters and numbers not always speaking when I put my finger on them prior to ios26 mainly happening on the lock screen when I'm unlocking my phone.
Hi everyone, I have not experienced this issue on an iPhone SE third generation or my iPhone 15. I’m using regular Samantha and my iPhone SE and I’m using regular Karen on my iPhone 15. I’m wondering if I have anything to do with the synthesizer that we’re using? It doesn’t seem to as the original poster said they were using eloquence. Have you tried changing the specific voice of eloquence or changing to a difference in the size are completely just to see if that makes any difference? I know somebody else mentioned that they use Samantha enhanced. It doesn’t seem to make any difference as far as a device either if people seem to be having this on some of the older devices and some newer ones. Well, I hope this issue will get resolved for you guys really soon. This was just some ideas that I had that I was hoping could hopefully be good work around for you. And yes, I restarted both of my phones a couple times. I’m wondering if switching to one of the default stocks would fix this issue for some people. I’m wondering if switching to one of the default stock voices would fix this issue for some people. Just out of curiosity, is this only happening with the US English keyboard? Has this happened with any other language on screen keyboard? I only use the US English keyboard. Again I have not experienced this issue personally, I’m just trying to come up with ideas to help you guys out. I hope it helps.
