Hi everybody.
This could go in Mac too, but since I'll mostly be using it on the phone, I figured I'd post here. I have a book series. I painstakingly named the files so they'd sort, like so:
02 - A Book In the Series.epub
03 - The Next Book in the Series.epub
04 - A short Story.pdf
05 - Yet Another Book in the Series.epub
And so on. When I bring them into Speech central, this order is gone, and none of the sort options restore it, although I'm honestly not sure what manual does. Is there a way to sort by filenames, so this order is preserved? Otherwise I'm just going to have to go look up the series order every time I need to pick the next book to read. This isn't the only series I have so it would be nice if there's a way to do it.

RE:
Books are properly sorted by their title.
However the book's title is not the file name of the book, books have their proper title encoded inside their file content and not in the file name.
Re: Sort.
Yep. I gathered that's what it was doing. My problem is that if you're doing, say, a series that's at least fifteen books, you have no way of arranging them in series order. Now if I had physical books, I could rearrange them in series order on a shelf and leave them that way. Using the right kind of filenames, the OS takes care of this sorting for you.
I don't necessarily object to sorting by title, it's sensible, and it's not like SC is the only program that does it. I'd just like a way to do some other arrangement I specify, so I can keep a series in order. I guess it doesn't necessarily have to be filenames, it could be added tags or something.
It's not a huge deal, it's not like I'll stop using the program. Right now my only other complaint is that sometimes, playing with headphone controls doesn't work because after working a couple of times, it seems to put you back on the bookshelf. So I have to unlock the phone and find the book and play from there.
I just think it would be cool to do something like files and folders, so if I have a series, let's say the ten Amber books, I can organize them on a sub-shelf, and have them sorted in series order. Again, this could be done with something like tags, where if you have a series tag let's say, the Amber tag shows up on the main shelf, and you tap that to get to that series. But it's not critical, I'll live.
It's a pretty cool program, I like it.
