Hey there,

Whenever you’re using iMovie on the iPhone , from the little that I know, yes—it is possible to add music. But here’s where it gets tricky: let’s say you have a five-minute video and you want to add two separate background music tracks to it. The problem is that iMovie doesn’t make it easy to blend multiple tracks seamlessly.

For example, let’s say the first track plays for two minutes, and then you want to cut in specific parts of another song to match the mood or transitions. It’s really hard to control or trim each section precisely the way you want within the app. It’s much simpler if you’re just using one continuous song that runs for three minutes, followed by another full-length track—basically a smooth handoff between the two.

Anyway, to actually add the music, here’s how you can do it: 1. First, save your audio tracks to the Files app on your iPhone. 2. Then open your iMovie project, tap Add Media → Audio → Files , and select your track. 3. Once it’s imported, it should show up as something like “Track 1 (Background)” or similar. 4. From there, you can adjust the volume levels and decide how you want the music to blend with your video’s original sound. It’s a bit hard to describe without showing you step-by-step visuals, but hopefully that makes sense. If you need more help with it, definitely reply here or feel free to send me a private email , and I’ll walk you through it more clearly.
