macOS and Mac Apps

PiccyBot is now available for MacOS as well. You can benefit from any existing subscription by using the same Apple account.
This has been a common request, to allow for easy video and image descriptions while on your Mac. I am glad I was able to make it available!
Note this only works on Macs with a M1 or higher processor so far.

You can download PiccyBot for all platforms here: https://piccybot.com

Much appreciated your effort. I used it and it is working so great on my mac. Thanks.

Keyboard shotcuts Command I and Command V now work to select images or videos. This should allow easier keyboard only control of PiccyBot.

I tried to find the PiccytBot app on the Mac App store in canada and it wasn't there. Am I doing something wrong or is the app not yet available in Canada. I have a Macbook M1 Air running the latest software.
Thanks

Hi,
Won't the command to open the video picker conflict with the paste command, which is also command V?

I think it would be much better if Cmd+V worked as paste and then there was another shortcut for video. I\'ve mentioned it elsewhere that pasting in an image without using the auto-paste thing is difficult. I would rather just press Cmd+V and wherever I am it triggers the paste action.

It’s exactly the same here in Poland. That app isn’t available in the Mac App Store either. I have no idea what’s causing this — maybe the app just isn’t available in all countries. I’m really disappointed.

Wayne, Ines, the app should be available. It is registered as an IPadOS app, so look under the iPhone and iPad apps section?

Is there anyway I can have no speech when the recognition of the image is completed? I need only my VoiceOver speech to read the description.

Yes, it does appear under the iPadOS category, but it said that it’s not verified for macOS, which confused me. I thought it wasn’t the right app. I’m actually surprised it’s there — I was sure I’d find it under the macOS category.

Found it under iPad apps. As Ines said, the app store entry said that it wasn't verified for Mac OS. Downloaded it and so far, so good. Looking forward to giving it a try.

As suggested by Mr Grieves, I changed this since there could be a conflict with Command V as paste.
