Apple watch workout app is a mess since watchOS 26 for me

watchOS and Apple Watch Apps

Hi guys.

This is driving me crazy, haven't had so much issues with the workout app like today, since I own an apple watch 7 years ago.

Is it just me or it is a mess?

1.- Each time I end a treadmill workout, no mater the time I made, it always gives me a price for running the fastest 5km race, or the fastest 10km race, when it is not the case, because my best times are far away from everyday workouts.
2.- find the heart rate app in conjuntion with the workout app more unreliable, I don't know if it's my heart but since watchOS 26 my heart rate has gone far away from my averages before it.
3.- When I'm planning a new treadmill workout and I go to the goal section (or object section or whatsoever is the translation to English as I use my watch in Spanish), if I already have for example, a 30 minutes workout and I would like to edit the goal to 35 minutes, I enter the 30 minutes preexisting workout, adjust the new goal to 35 minutes, push the set botton and when I return to the previous page where there are all my preexisting workouts, the one I have changed from 30 minutes to 35 minutes, still appears as 30 minutes and my changes are never saved, so to correct that issue I have to start a new personalized workout and can't never edit the preexisting ones.

are you having the same issues as me?

Hi,
Yes, I've been having a few issues with the app myself, well, mainly one where once I stop a workout, Voiceover is rather unresponsive, I can end a workout, and update the effort score, but after that, most times Voiceover will stop speaking, and I have to restart it to get it to work again. Also, once the workout is ended, when I'm presented with a summary of the workout, I get the cancel button at the top, but no other button along the lines of a done or a close button, so I assume the cancel button acts as that, even though it sounds like I'm not saving the workout since the button says cancel.

My issue is when a workout is in progress focus is always on the first screen, the one with the End and Pause buttons. It used to default to page 2 which shows the time elapsed etc. Now when I try to scroll to page 2, it goes there for a second, and by the time i try to get VoiceOver to read anything on that screen such as the time, it jumps back to page 1. Has anyone found a workaround for this?

yes, this appeared after the last watchOS update, also I hate that now since watchOS 26 the voiceover anouncements mute my music an I can't find how to change that!

Are you playing the music from the watch? I was streaming on my iPhone using TuneIn and did not have a muting issue when VoiceOver on the watch spoke. Plenty of issues to go around though it seems.
