Since updating to Mac OS 26, I have noticed an annoying behaviour when opening a web page in Safari. Many times, when I type an address in the address field and press Return, I am not immediately put in the web page. Sometimes, I am in the toolbar and have tostop interacting and VO right or left until I hear VO say web content. Then, I can interact and start navigating the page. Previously, when I entered a web address and pressed return, I would immediately be focussed in the web content.
Is there a setting I can change to fix this.
Thanks

it's a bug
Hi,
It's a bug. Please report it to Apple accessibility. I have experienced it myself.
I'm not so sure
I've had this problem in Safari on MacOS Sequoia for some time. I suspect it's something in Safari settings. Have you tried using a different browser to see if it happens there, too?
Other Browsers
Yes. I have tried Google Chrome and get the same behaviour. However, I believe this was always the case with Chrome.
