iOS 26.2 beta one released today. It includes features such as the Apple news app redesign, and the ability to set an alarm from a reminder. I have not updated my phone to this yet. If you notice anything, you can drop a comment here.

Share Your Bug Reports with AppleVis
If you experience a bug in Apple Beta Software, the most important thing you can do is to file a report in Feedback Assistant. Please do not assume that Apple is already aware of a bug or that your report won't make a difference; your report may provide crucial information, and submitting bug reports directly to Apple helps them reproduce and resolve the issue faster. The more reports they receive, the higher the priority Apple is likely to give to fixing the bug.
If you are using beta software, please use the Feedback Assistant on your device to submit feedback and bug reports. If you are using a public release, this blog post explains how to report the issue and what information to include.
In 2025, AppleVis launched the Community Bug Reporting Program with the goal of improving the quality and quantity of information we share with the community about bugs in Apple software releases. If you would like to contribute to this effort, please submit your reports via our Community Bug Report Form.
All reports shared with AppleVis must first be filed with Apple via Feedback Assistant. More information about the Community Bug Program is available here.

Notification and VO?
Is that issue fix? Crossing finger. Long live cats.
Re, notification and vo?
I mean, you could always test out and find out? And if its not keep reporting it if it bothers you this much?
I agree
Why don't you test?

Main device is my phone. Need it and can not use it for that. Making a simple request and info. If you do not want just say no. Simple. Thanks. Long live cats.
A new ringtone! :)
Among the new things in this update, we have a new ringtone!
Here's a link to the article, where it can be previewed.

If people say it's stable enough, I might consider installing it on both my iPhone & iPad.
Is the notification bug fixed?
Bumping this question.
Current responses are unhelpful.
Agreed with Holger and Oliver
Agreed with Holger and Oliver. While I don't personally recommend the betas to anyone on a primary device, I also think it's okay for people to ask questions (even if no one answers them). That said, if you don't have anything helpful to add to the discussion, please just move along.
Fixes &/or regressions in 26.2 for Voiceover users?
Hello,
I'm debating installing this new beta onto my iPhone, iPad or both.
Before I do though, I’m curious about something:
Has anyone running the iOS26.2Beta checked out the new ringtone?
If so, what do you think?
When compared to iOS26.1, are there any fixes or regressions for those of us who use Voiceover?
New ringtone should not matter at this point
Since Apple has given us the ability to (finally) download any ringtone we want off the Internet, and add it to our device without a medium such as iTunes, or any other third-party software. We also no longer need to use the iTunes store on iOS to purchase ringtones.
I'm afraid to ask
So I won't
Ask
I guess we can ask. We just—and please forgive the visual reference—be mindful that we may get a myopic response.
Michael's suggestion that we only post when it is something helpful is right on the money. Descent, criticism, and its repetition aren’t useful. Let people ask, let people answer.
Silence is always an option.
Please ask questions. I will certainly answer the best I can based on the information and experience I have, as will many others.
The mail bug I've encountered & reported for years
Hi,
I have my Mail app in a folder. When the number of items in the Mail app reaches over 1000, the full number is displayed on the folder visually, but voiceover says one new item.
In other words, it only reads the number before the comma.
Has this been fixed in 26.2? I’ve been reporting this bug for years.
KE8UPE
Well in iOS 26.1 when I get a voicemail, VO does not say new message.
I like any ringtone
I like the new ringtone. Do you guys know what the name of it is? I think I might end up using that. Right now I use the robot ringtone. I had to find something that I didn’t hear anybody else seem to have when I’ve been out and about so I use that. I really like the old phone runner but so many people use that, but I was getting confused if it was my phone or not so I use the robot. A lot of the other new ringtones never seem loud enough for me so that’s why I still stick with the classic ringtones and sounds. But I might use this new ringtone. And the one that’s called little bird doesn’t even sound like a bird. It sounds like somebody pushing. But anyway, I do like any ringtone and thanks to the person who posted the article.
VoiceOver Focus During a Phone Call
I reported a problem to Apple yesterday regarding the focus of VoiceOver during a phone call. In iOS 26.1, the focus goes to a time counter which indicates elapsed time during a call, thus causing VoiceOver to speak this time every minute. Apple has assured me that in the beta for iOS 26.2, the focus once again goes to the Hide Keypad button, which is as it should be. Can anyone testing iOS 2.62 beta confirm please? Thanks ever so much.

Consider using individual tones for your contacts. The only general ringtone I have is for calls that is not in my contacts. Godfather theme.
@Singer Girl
If you like standard telephone type ringtones, you might like the old "Hillside" ringtone. I believe it's under the classic section of ringtones, but I've always thought it sounded like a standard ringtone type of sound. Give that one a try and see what you think. :-)
For any who remember...
My dad has the ringtone from the show 24... I think, even at 75, he considers himself a bit of a Jack Bower.
OK, I’ll go ahead and look on that. I think you’re right. It is
You’re right, it is in the classic section. I just switched to it. That is kind of like a phone sound. I like it. Thanks.
Oliver
That is the CTU ringtone, also known as Counter-Terrorist Unit. I used to have it back on my old 4S. 😀
Singer Girl
You're welcome. I used that ringtone for a few years. Nowadays I use a higher pitched ringtone I purchased because my hearing is sadly getting worse, at least in my right year. 😣
Oh, I can understand that.
I can understand that. I just started wearing hearing aids June 16 of this year.
Beta 2 is out!
Beta 2 was released to developers earlier today, which means that the public beta should be out tomorrow.
I'd be curious to hear if anyone finds any changes, positive or negative.
Braille email bug
I'm hoping that the braille email bug will be exterminated at last! If that turns out to be the case, and there's no new braille bug infestations, I stay consider upgrading.
Fixed, Fixed not fixed
Well the native weather app now seems to work correct with the release of PB2. Also, finally we can now change the speed of VoiceOver again by single percents by tapping and holding then moving the finger around the screen. Notifications however, are sadly and probably predictably still not fixed.

Nuts regarding notifications. Long live cats.
Adding applications to dock with voiceover on iPad fixed!!!
The ability to use the drag and drop rotor commands to add applications to the dock was broken quite a while ago, I wanna say in iPadOS 18.4?
Well good news, it was partially fixed in iPadOS 26.1, and fully fixed in the Beta of 26.2.
Thank you Apple!
