Hello all:

am now using Icloud + and Dropbox for cloud storage,
Frankly, I did not want to use Icloud +, but i should because my Whatsapp backup is so big, this is why am using it,
but the question here:
can we use only Icloud + in our life? i mean can we share files with others? if they do not have icloud or not so good in using internet?
all i need is when am sharing a file with someone all i need is make him / her download the file,
that is it,
is it possible. with Icloud through mac?

You can share folders in iCloud Drive, and I'm pretty sure you can share links as well, but I'm not really a heavy iCloud user, as I only have the free 5 GB tier. Depending on how much storage you want and/or need, iCloud can be cheaper than Dropbox.

I abandoned Dropbox years ago, and haven’t looked back. Thoug, I also have Google Drive, since I’m using Gmail as my mail. Both iCloud and google’s sharing capabilities works much better than Dropbox.

Wish i can do this, but how? do not know if you are using whatsapp or not? and if yes, do you backup your whatsapp on Icloud? this is the thing that takes storage on my Icloud.

You can share files and/or folders. Once you upload files, go to the Finder, focus the file, and bring up the context menu with VO-Shift-m or Control-Enter. Go to share in the menu and select it. You'll get a dialog box to choose how to share. Select the option that says collaborate, and then customize the settings. For example, if you want to create a public link, select everyone with the link, and select either view only or can edit. You can also invite specific users to collaborate, but I don't have much experience with this. My understanding is you set the permissions the way you want, enter the person's email address, and that user gets a link. Clicking that link should add the file or folder to the user's iCloud Drive.
If you just create a public link and set it to view only, it's possible to share with anyone, even if they aren't using an Apple device. Clicking on the link takes you to a page where you can either download the file or add it to iCloud by signing in, but signing in isn't required to download. Sharing a folder works exactly the same way, but it appears you have to sign in to view its contents which is disappointing. If you want to make changes to your share, focus it in Finder, open the context menu, and select the manage option.

The reason I can use 5 GB just fine is because I don't have a lot of data on my iPhone that gets backed up. Even if I did, the 50 GB tier for a dollar would be more than enough for my specific use case.

I went to a file, and i press share, then, i found a comb box, i clicked on , and i have collaborate, when i clicked on it, it disappeared, and i found myself in the finder again, without any other coices, or a link for sharing.
so, what am i missing here?

There should be a scroll area to interact with that gives you the different options related to sharing the file. It's a little confusing to navigate, but if you spend enough time exploring, it should be fairly easy to understand.
