Hi everyone,
I'm just wondering if anyone here has used any of the voice recording apps for iOS and if so, would you recommend any particular one and are they accessible?
I'd appreciate any feedback/comments.
Thanks,
D
The one I use most often is iRecorder. I can't remember how much it costs, but I know it was a few dollars. It's completely accessible and records in the m4A format. I chose it because, to me anyway, the sound quality of its recordings seems better than the many others I tried.
Hello,
I know there are a lot of apps that can be useful to you, and they all have its advantages and disadvantages. It really is a preference of the person who downloads the apps. I've noticed a few of my IPad students don't care much for the new and improved voice memos app on ios 7. I don't mind it much myself, but I di use rev recorder for the fact that it has an automatic upload to dropbox, and I love dropbox so it comes in handy. It also has a good sound quality. There is also an app called drop vox that records voice memos and simply uploads to drop box without you having to do any work, but there are limitations. First of all, the quality isn't as good as rev recorder, and secondly, the files are saved with a date/time numbering system, and in .m4a format. I like rev recorder because you can give it a custom name when you save it. It's just a tad bit more work, but worth it for the quality and organization alone. I hope this helps.
Thanks for the feedback guys!
Going to give iRecorder a go, and see how I get on. I really like Rev Voice Recorder too, my only issue with it is that it only records for 10 minutes and every subsequent minute is $1... Which I imagine would end up getting a little too expensive for my needs!
Hi. Actually, you can record as long as you want with Rev voice recorder. What you're paying for would be the transcription feature. That's where they charge after the first 10 minutes...so record for as long as you like and don't worry about the transcription thing unless you really need something like that.
I am also looking for an accessible voice recorder for IOS, but I am looking for an app that just records strictly in MP3
Everything I see seems to just record in M4A
Thanks in advance for your help and suggestions.
Hi all, what no one else has mentioned and the reason why I am asking here is because I am learning to read braille music and with my teacher I am recording the exercises in the book that I am using. So far I am doing this with the Voice Memos app and for the most part it gets the job done and I am happy with the way the app works. There's just one thing that's really a pain to do and that is of course I have to convert every file I record from the M4A format to Mp3 to send it to my teacher by email. I do this through iTunes and my mac. While I can do this, I was wondering are there any recording apps out there that can record to different file formats in this case the most popular being MP3 and of course not forgetting the app being accessible with Voiceover?
Thanks
Daniel
