Hi, can anybody recommend an accessible iOS app for recording phone calls? Ideally it should do this automatically every time that you make or receive a phone call. Thanks, Joe
there are some apps on the app store that claim to record phone calls through a sort of access numbers which you make a conference call with it and the number you're calling. however, the straightforward way of recording calls is not available for those who use an unmodified version of I-OS. if you jailbroke your i-OS device, then Audio call recorder and super recorder are two tweaks you would like to have. the latter records viber, faceTime and skype calls as well. both of them are fairly accessible, though they are not free.
Thanks to the fcc rules you cannot record ingoing and outbound phone calls as the user needs to know if they are recording. I have a solution though. get a mixer and attach your phone to that. the recording quality is pretty good, or use skype and audio hijack if you run a mac. the recording quality is pristine.
Take care.
I tried tapeacall and can't find any record buttons when opening the app directly. There are only two buttons that show up. One opens a website called trap a call, and the other just gives button settings and a few other things which have nothing to do with recording. I notified the developers, but I'm still waiting for a resolution. I discovered a couple of ways to access the recordings. First, after a phone conversation is completed, an alert message is pushed to your phone. If you flick to the right, there is an open button which will allow you to see all your recordings. Unfortunately, if you miss this alert, you're out of luck. In addition, this type of text message does not appear in the "messages" button on your home screen as your text messages that others have sent you. The other way to maybe see your recordings is to open the notification center. I say "maybe" because I found that this doesn't always work. I told the developers that this could be a great app, and any corrections would be appreciated. If there are record buttons, voice over isn't reading them.
