I had ashift running and got entirely boned by the new prestige system. 22 stars only? I waited to sell my company when I could have had over 200million stars and I had 220k stars int he old system. I'm now fighting my way back to rank 6 where I was in the ladder and likely won't be able to now beacuse of this. I feel entirely screwed over. The only way Igot anywhere close to where I was was thanks to the daily goal thing which I somehow met over night before the change. I didn't sell my company thinking it would be better for me not to do so, starting to think IShould have to get those supposedly millions of sltars it said I'd have. I regret having bought gold at this point too.

By Tough Cookie on Friday, July 17, 2026 - 11:11

I also got screwed over by this change. I just got to a quadrillion coins and now I’m at 25000. I also lost my upgraded shift times.

By Apple-fan01 on Friday, July 17, 2026 - 11:48

I was at 8 million or so coins, and my delivery rate was about 40,000 packages per second (or something close to that). Literally, now all my vehicles and coins are gone.

By Paige on Friday, July 17, 2026 - 12:25

Did this new talent tree thing actually work positively for anyone? Because it seems to me like they just broke the game for everyone and took away all of our progress. I was delivering 5 quadrillion packages a second with a shift running overnight and they gave me a whopping four stars and 25000 coins! Really hope they get a ton of backlash and restore it to the way it was before.

So looks like the developers believe that over 500 million prestige stars are barely worth nine of these talent tree system stars. from being able to deliver 10.5 Septillion packages a second to now only 17 is infuriating and a waste of my time. The entire purpose of this prestige/talent tree system is to lose everything, but also gain bonuses for the next run to make the game faster. Not to lose everything and absolutely earn nothing in the process.
See, I understand server resets like this are a must have for a game like this to prevent numbers from growing massively, but these resets should come with significant rewards for people who have dedicated time and effort playing the game.
This randomly reset system and giving people 5 to 15 random stars is ridiculous and a waste of time for everyone. Weeks of effort were undone just for a few stars that will not even get you close to what you were delivering prior to the reset.
To those who dedicated actual money into this game, get your refund, leave your one star ratings, and stop playing this ridiculous, and a waste of a time of a game.

Oh, and get this, To put the cherry on the top, they have given us a generous double package delivery for the next 40 hours. I do not understand what that is supposed to achieve because that is barely a drop of water in an inferno.
Anyways, one unhappy customer signing off.

So I already went through the Apple mandated refund process for an embarrassing amount of gold chest purchases. And I also left a detailed one star review, but of course that won’t show up for sometime. For anyone who has not seen the different messages pop up in the app, the developer has taken no serious steps to legitimately rectify their mistake, and the theft of the progress that so many of us paid for through in app purchases. Anyway, Apple is more likely to act favorably and swiftly if more people apply and give an appropriate explanation. Good luck to everybody!

I’m okay with the talent tree. I get it, but I wasn’t ready to sell my company. I could’ve had a lot more stars to spend on this tree.

By Elodie on Friday, July 17, 2026 - 22:43

I sincerely hope the developers aren't scamming and I'd like to hope that it really was a genuine mistake on their part.

I thought my game broke and I hadn't sold my company yet and wasn't intending to but this hurts so hard. All my trillions of coins are now left to nothing. I am level 69 but I have to buy over all the upgrades and all the vehicles. I was delivering almost 2 billion packages per second. Thank god I didn't spend real money on this game but it still hurts because a lot of people invested time on it. They said the game got reset but none of my coins did.

By Apple-fan01 on Saturday, July 18, 2026 - 12:40

Hi the game is now prompting me to update to version 1.0.17 is it safe to do so without losing all my progress like I previously did?
I am not letting that to happen again.

By Missy Hoppe on Saturday, July 18, 2026 - 13:07

I've been reading about everyone who lost progress because of the changes to Package Hero. I'm not sure how or why, but I've had the opposite experience. I only got 12 prestige points to spend; put them all in the idle tree, most specifically night shift. I plan to build up my business for another week or so before I sell again, but I'm way, way far ahead of where I was before the change. I will say, though, that after this experience, I probably won't be buying any more gold bars; I'll just take what ever rewards I can earn and also get the benefits of the premium pass.

By Joseph King on Saturday, July 18, 2026 - 13:27

Yes, you can safely update. I did so about an hour ago with no ill effects.

By Believer 316 on Saturday, July 18, 2026 - 20:49

I also lost all my progress but I accepted a daily goal that gave me like 700 quadrilling coins. I was able to use that to buy vehicles that deliver millions of packages per second and I jumped from like 28 to rank nine in the league because of it. Just saying that in the upgrades tab, make sure you upgrade the daily goal skill that way you get the most money from your daily goals in daily rewards. In my opinion, this is the easiest way to make up loss progress.

By Ornella on Sunday, July 19, 2026 - 00:47

You were very lucky because my level didn't reset but my coins did. So imagine you need to deliver billions of packages per second to get the award and you can't as yet because of their mistake. Now my packages are like 7 million per second all because i have to buy back all my vehicles and areas still need to unlock. Its very lame in my opinion.

By eric Poter on Sunday, July 19, 2026 - 00:50

So I know that the last system seemed to be about a multiplier for your all time packages. This new system though is mind boggling on how someone thought of this. The way it appears to be is after a certain point, you stop getting stars. Around the 4 day mark. You are rewarded for playing for a few days, with the game favoring you after the three day mark, where it takes you around 20 minutes to get a star. Which is fine I guess, but if you go past the four day mark. You are just doing it for the fun of it. You get no stars past that point. I guess the biggest take away from this whole thing is to prestige every 4 days.

I'm not going to sit here and rehash the whole thing I've been saying for a while now in its long-form.
Firstly, I'd like to say, to those whom are so upset about the change after spending so much money on the game, I'm sorry about the lost progress, but you kind of go into these situations, and SHOULD be aware that that's a possibility.
I really don't understand why the rage is so extra. The game has been out for JUST UNDER TWO WEEKS. You had to know there was going to be changes. They spoke about the changes, BEFORE making them go live. They specifically said, "Once enough players update," that was specifically stated in the announcement. Sure, fine, it got pushed earlier by accident, but we have a production boost, and league rankings aren't affected. I wish they'd saved the boost for the start of the season, but...
Really don't see why this is being so blown out of proportions.
Again, I understand the loss in progress. Mine got reset from septillions to 30. I lost my upgrades, my vehicles, the unlocked areas, and the prestige bonuses. My shift was forced to end.
Personally, I had a different experience. New upgrades? New prestige system? Yes please! You know why?
Before they put that into place, all I had left was the Trade Empire upgrade, and the hopes I was fast enough to pass the person ahead of me in the league, and then whoever was ahead of them. I had seen all of the vehicles you could get. The upgrade costs were creeping up to be crazy, and even now, where I was seeing level 50 of the delivery upgrade, I'm barely up to level 10, at the same progression. I saw all vehicles, upgrades, and the only things I needed were the premium upgrades for gold bars.
So, yes, this excited me, because it felt newer. I had things to keep playing for. I could prestige, and go from my piddling 30 per second, to unlocking the new prestige upgrades, that were neatly separated to tell me, "Are you an idle player, or an active one? Do you want a stronger restart?" and now I am making slow progress back up the numbers. Sure, I'm not in the quadrillions. I'm probably not going to see that for a couple of days, at the very least.
All this to say, the game hasn't been out long. The devs announced things clearly, to me. Sure they should have waited a little longer, maybe have more of a way to keep track of things like this, more social media presence, but... they don't.
Exchange rate, lastly, feels weird. I am not a designer, I'm not going to pretend I have more than a theory, but that theory is that it might have been more based on the progression. I had about 24 million stars on the previous system, and I got 18 stars. That, I feel, is because I listened when they suggested to NOT sell the company. I don't regret it. I don't think I was given too little. They reworked the whole system, and I only had the wonder of whether or not I would be able to regain those upgrades. Guess what? I didn't. That's fine. Just means I get to go back, get more, and get the upgrades again. And who knows, by the time I get these upgraded all the way, the ones that I can, they'll add more. They seem to be doing that, after all 1.0.17 added the Steady Hands upgrade.
Question, though: What's up with the lucky strike stuff, and the crit chance?

By UnboundDara on Sunday, July 19, 2026 - 02:16

Some more ideas:
We'd really benefit from a cost creep upgrade, be it in the "skills" area, premium upgrades, or via prestiging, or all three. I think this should be good for the skills, and vehicles, working like the decrease in vehicle costs.
Also, in the settings, it says that shift length can be extended by using gold bars (for premium upgrades), purchasing skills (Staff), the Night Shift upgrade in prestiging, and through the usage of coins. However... there is no way to extend the shifts' length with coins EXCEPT for with upgrading the Staff skill. Either clarifying this, or actually adding a way to extend the shift length for coins/gold bars (while the shift is going? I don't know...) would be nice.
Lastly, it might be nice to have a way to help your team out, maybe with a group of upgrades or something, that can be invested in with gold bars, or coins, or something, to augment the groups' production. Make it more collaborative.
