Shaftfall — an accessible Elevator Action tribute
Ride the elevator, collect the documents, escape through the parking garage.
How to play
Goal. Ride the central elevator from the rooftop down to the parking garage. Collect every hidden document before you reach the garage. The building has 100 floors and 25 documents are scattered across random floors each run. The parking garage itself is enemy-free, but every other floor is patrolled — enemies grow more numerous (up to 10 per floor) and shoot at faster intervals the deeper you go.
Controls (PS4 / Xbox / Logitech). D-pad Left/Right to walk. X (PS4) / A (Xbox / Logitech XInput) to shoot. Circle / B to jump. Square / X instantly teleports the elevator to your floor when you are outside of it. Triangle / Y speaks the number of documents still to find. Outside the elevator: Down crouches, Up stands. Inside the elevator: Up moves up, Down moves down. Options / Menu / Start pauses. Logitech F310/F710 users should set the rear switch to X (XInput) for correct mapping.
Controls (keyboard). Arrow keys, X = shoot, C = jump, Z = call elevator to your floor, T = documents remaining, Q = teleport to nearest enemy (L1), E = teleport to nearest document (R1), R = teleport to the parking garage (R2), F = teleport to the right side of the shaft (L2), Enter = pause.
Audio cues. While you ride the elevator, each floor you pass beeps — a bright chirp panned left or right when that floor still hides a document, a low tick when it does not. While you stand outside the elevator, three tones announce the car itself: a low tone when it is docked at your floor, a medium tone when only its rooftop is within reach, and a high tone when it has drifted out of reach entirely. No floor-pass beeps sound while the car drifts on its own.
Cheat codes. Clearing every enemy in a run reveals the God mode code. Collecting every document during a God-mode run without killing a single enemy reveals the Perfect aim code. Winning the game after visiting every floor and killing no enemy reveals the Teleportation code — once active, R1 warps you to the nearest floor with a document, L1 to the nearest floor with enemies, R2 straight down to the parking garage, and L2 to the right side of the shaft on your current floor. Revealed codes appear on the pause screen; you can enter any code you already know at any time. Use "Reset progress" on the main menu to clear all unlocks and unlock them again from scratch.

Question on controls
I do not have a PS4 or PS5 controller, I do have a Logitech PC controller, however, with a very similar controller layout. Including of course dual analog sticks, two bumper and two trigger buttons at the top, a start and select set up buttons, or view and mode if we're talking Xbox here, as well as a large button which I assume is the "sharing" button?
Anyways, my question is can I use that to play this, or do I absolutely have to have a PlayStation controller?
Edit: I forgot to ask if this is only playable on iOS, or can it be played on PC as well?

You can always just try and see if that controller works. If not, I could always try to implement support for it. Just know that I am unable to test the functions of such a controller.

Logitech pc controller support implemented, at least according to the AI lol. Let me know how it goes. You can now press square to recall elevator when it's drifting.

I will give this a play through later today, and see how it works on PC. Sadly, I don't have a controller or keyboard for my iPhone. And I do not own an iPad. I wonder, however, would an Xbox controller work with this on iOS? If so, then I wouldn't be too worried about playing on PC. Though if I am being honest, these days I prefer playing games on my PC. 🤷

iOS
how does this work for iOS users without a controller or keyboard? I understand it’s a web browser based thing. But from the description it doesn’t sound like it works without those things. I mean no offense to the person who put this out here but I didn’t see any commands for swipes or taps for iOS users.
There isn't
There are labeled on screen buttons, but they won't help much. The game is ment to be played like a console game. VoiceOver only helps with menus.

Just got home a little while ago, and I'm quite beat. I think I will give this game some attention tomorrow, and see how it goes. I'll let you know how things go with connecting a wireless Xbox controller to my iPhone, and also whether or not your game works on PC. 🙂

Well I tried playing it on my windows pc and of course it doesn't work. was using firefox as the brouzer if that makes any difference.

Well, thanks for saving me the trouble I guess. I'll see if I can't figure out how to connect my wireless Xbox controller to my iPhone, and go from there...

Will try to get a controller some time but i don't know if i should get it just for 1 game or if its used for lots of games will see.
Hopefully, Firefox and Windows PC are fully implemented.
I asked the AI to implement Firefox and Windows PC, so let me know if it works. Also, I made it more forgiving to step out of the elevator onto the correct floor. Try to align the elevator precisely with the beep before stepping off.
Its playable
Its playable now but I have no idea what i'm doing. I just hear the beeps and clicks when i move left or right sometimes.
How to play
From the start, go right into the elevator, you will hear the engine starting as soon as you are inside. Press up or down to move the elevator. Since you start at the top, you will want to go down, so go down and listen to the beeps. Low beeps indicate empty floors with only enemies, while high-pitched beeps on your left or right will indicate a special floor containing a document. The goal is to align the elevator precisely with beeps, get out of the elevator, kill all the enemies guarding the floor/document, retrieve the document and return to the elevator and go down to get the next one. If you can successfully retrieve all documents and reach the ground floor of the building, you will escape and drive away. If you reach the ground floor and still need documents, you will need to go back up to get them. If you stay on a floor for too long, the elevator will start moving away. A low tone means that the elevator is docked and ready to access, a medium tone indicate that the elevator has moved partially downward and only the rooftop is accessible. Do not step onto the elevator roof, otherwise you will get crushed on its return trip. The high tone will indicate that the elevator is completely gone, and you will fall down the shaft if you try to access the elevator during this period. Wait for the elevator to return, or press the button to call it back. Since I can't test your own gadgets, you will have to read the controls manual to see which button is what.
