Guys have any of you come across Smart glasses by Mavis Technologies and have tried them? I know we are swamped with these things but I'd never heard of them until today when I found them completely by accident. They launched in April of this year and the promo price has gone but they sound promising. There are no online demos of any type that I can find that may help. Made in the UK and with a subscription of £30 a month which may put people off. However, they appear to have realtime descriptions along with other stuff that to me looked interesting. Suspect nobody on here has tried them unfortunately.

I had heard of them
For less than the price of a year's subscription I could buy the Meta Glasses. £30 is outrageous for something like this in my opinion, particularly given how expensive the glasses are in the first place.
I'd love to support a local company but sorry not at any price.

I'm not sure they can be connected to other apps like Be My Eyes, either, & I'd want that for certain. Truthfully, I don't think at that pricepoint it's a sustainable business model.
I would find it so weird to wear any kind of glasses
I don’t wear glasses at all, so wearing any kind of glasses even if they were just regular ones would feel so odd to me. I think my smart glasses would be even more strange. But hey, I hope whoever gets these things gets good use out of them. I don’t really have any interest in smart glasses or smart canes or any of that stuff I got enough going on with just having smart phones. I don’t wanna have any other devices that I have to keep charged and updated constantly. But hey, that’s just me. Hope these things work great for people that want them. I also don’t think I’d be able to afford getting another subscription or something. There’s only so much money that comes in every month that can go towards subscriptions to everything else that we have a month.
