After updating my iPhone 17 Pro Max from the iOS 27 beta to the public release, I noticed something rather peculiar. Siri was working perfectly throughout the day, but then it suddenly stopped working and displayed a message saying, “There was a problem. Please try again.”
After doing some research and troubleshooting on my iPhone, I discovered that the new Siri with Apple Intelligence had completely stopped working. Instead, the old Siri interface appeared, with the older Siri icon and animation being used rather than the newer Apple Intelligence version.
Siri Voice 6 is still present and available, but the Apple Intelligence version of Siri has completely disappeared from my iPhone.

How about the VoiceOver image recognition features?

Do the VoiceOver image recognition features work for you? If they also say that something went wrong and to try again, then you're experiencing the same thing as me since a couple of weeks, with no solution I am aware of.
Resetting my network settings fixes this problem for a little bit, and then it returns again. I suspect it is something at the network level, but currently I have no idea what. This has also been submitted via Feedback, with more than 10 reports, so it's clearly something that more people experience.
A friend of mine fixed it for a while by resetting the phone (not to the factory settings, just a normal reset), so of course, try that first as a potentially simpler solution.

It is not working.
Image recognition.
It works. Actually it's the best new feature for me as I don't have to open up Be My Eyes to recognize an image anymore. It's not as detailed as Be My Eyes, but still accurate, it does the job. I'm using an iPhone 16 plus. Wish I could help in some way. I have iCloud plus, 50 GB. I don't know if that makes a difference or not.
this happened once
This happened once, and I think it was when I was on the RC version and it had something to do with either slow WiFi or poor cellular connection. Can't remember where I was.
