Problem with pronunciation feature in VoiceOver

Hi!

I use VoiceOver’s pronunciation feature. In Sweden, we use the characters å, ä, and ö. I’ve discovered that the feature cannot handle these characters when they appear within a phrase. If I include them in the replacement text for the correct pronunciation, it works, but—as I mentioned—it doesn't work in the actual phrase I want to correct. Is there a solution to this problem?

Hi there,
Are you on iOS 27, or an earlier version of the operating system? Pronounciations in iOS 27 are rather broken, unfortunately.

Unfortunately, I’ve never gotten this pronunciation dictionary to work properly regardless of iOS version I was running. Yes I’ve read that. This feature is broken. I was 27 as well so hopefully you can forget what’s going on. Hopefully we can figure out what’s going on.
